We’ve been so sick at our house since what seems like forever, otherwise I would have been on the blog so much sooner than this! For today I wanted to let you all know how much I admire and appreciate this woman – Stacy Julian!
The first contact I ever had with Stacy was back in either 2002/2003 when we had just moved back to Canada after Randal finished Chiropractic college. I was sitting at home in our old (old, old) little rental house on mainstreet when I got a phonecall. When the girl on the other end said she was Stacy Julian I about screamed (wait….I might have actually screamed. I can’t remember??) She wanted me to do an assignment for Simple, my very first one! I was so beyond giddy. I remember that moment so clearly…talking on the phone to her, all the while thinking ‘I’m talking on the phone with Stacy Julian!? I can’t believe I’m talking on the phone with Stacy Julian!?’
I’ve looked everywhere for the actual issue that the pages I made for that assignment were in but I can’t find it anywhere so here they are….the first two assignment pages I ever created for Simple. It’s amazing to me where my relationship with Simple has gone from this very point!
I was finally able to meet Stacy in person for the first time in 2006 at CHA in Las Vegas and that was such a highlight of the trip for me! She is such a busy lady and she took time out to talk to me and get to know me better and that really meant a lot. Throughout the time that I was working on my book there were many ups and downs and on a particularly down day I decided that the person I needed to call was Stacy. She’d been where I was now, surely she could offer some advice. THat phonecall with Stacy was just what I needed!
And I don’t think I ever mentioned it before but thank you Stacy, from the bottom of my heart, for all your advice and support and words of encouragement! Afer that phonecall I was able to muster up all that I had left in me and finish that book!
So to make a long story short Stacy, I will NEVER be able to think of all the wonderful experiences I’ve had with Simple Scrapbooks without thinking of you! You are connected to all the memories I have from the very beginning. I appreciate your belief in me over the years and have learned so much from the positive outlook you always have on life and I wish you all the very best in your newest adventures!
If Stacy has touched your life in any way, like she has so many people’s, why not leave her a message and let her know? Just call 1-888-HUG-STACY.
