And the winner of the HG stamp set is:
Nicki Lundeen!
Just drop me a quick email Nicki (click on ’email me’ in the sidebar —-> there) and your stamps will be on their way! Thanks everyone who said hi!
And as promised….on with a few of my favorite finds from CHA. I was so lucky to be able to attend the show this past summer. I cringe thinking of all the walking I did. AH! My legs ache just thinking about it! But it was so worth it and such a tonne of fun!
I loved so many things, so I’m only going to name a handful of the stuff that caught my eye. Keep that in mind! There is just too much to start listing EVERYTHING I needed….errrrr….wanted to take home with me in my suitcase.
When I stopped by the Quickutz Booth (I had to grab a treat first, they always have the yummiest treats!) I fell in love with their new nesting shape dies.
So many possibilities with these beauties! The circles, squares and OH MY the scallop edge flowers. Love them all. And how about this font? I think it’s so pretty!
Fiskars never ceases to amaze me – I could go on (and on!) but honestly the jaw dropper for me was their new tag makin’ squeeze punch. Melanie showed us how it worked and our reaction was something like “ohhhhh…..OHHHHHHH!!!!!”
It is so SIMPLE and so dang cool. It basically just snips off the corner of any little scrap of paper you’d like to use and will make a tag out of it for you! (And I totally stole this picture off Lain’s blog — don’t hate me Lain) because I searched everywhere online for a link/photo and couldn’t find one. Together Lain and I were there to witness the amazing tag making ability of this little punch for the first time…and we were both equally mesmerized! Is that not so cool? How many times have to tried to make a quick tag and you just couldn’t get the angles on those little edges just right? AH! Anyway, I loved it!
Next booth that had me drooling was Fancy Pants. I just love their stuff – chipboard, papers, etc. They had some darling crocheted floral embellishments and buttons and felt shapes along with these awesome chipboard box sets that looked like such fun and had the most adorable chipboard accents in them.
Speaking of Fancy Pants…Candice Palmer and I had the chance to do a little video tour over at their booth as well as K and Company’s booth and the videos are featured on the Simple website if you’d like to have a peak. Like I say, always good for a giggle. I am SO not good in front of the camera, I feel so awkward and I say dumb things. Dumb things just come out of my mouth as soon as they press record. I don’t know why that is??
That’s me and cute Candice up there. Fellow contributing editor for Simple and my roomie in Chicago!
Another thing that caught my eye – especially since I’m always on the lookout for things that make my scrapbooking process easier and quicker – were these fabulous chipboard albums by Dream Street. Fun shapes and sizes and get this….coordinating stickers that fit the chipboard pages perfectly. No cutting out your cardstock or any gluing involved. And such adorable stickers were available!
Loved this easy solution to making an all chipboard album!
American Crafts is ALWAYS going to be a favorite of mine. I just love the papers/letter stickers they come out with each and every release and this show was no different. The metropolitan collection OH MY! Gorgeous. And you know what, they’ve done pens, they’ve done rubons, they’ve even done wrapping paper….now they’ve gone and done it yet again and THEY HAVE ADHESIVE!!! So excited to get my hands on some of this, especially the tape roll adhesive they did! It’s not out yet….but it will be soon! EEEEEEE!
A new company that I spotted that caught my eye right away was October Afternoon. Gorgeous paper and adorable stamps. If you get a chance you should check out their catalog. Honestly….is that stuff not darling?
Alright….it’s getting late. I could go on, I really could, but I’m going to have to leave it at that.

Hey, Rebecca. I FINALLY bought your book from the new Archiver’s store in nearby Novi, Michigan. I really, really enjoyed myself. I read it so quick, I was sad to turn the last page! You so inspired me, and I’m going to return to the book again and again as a reference.
Thanks for the link to October Afternoon. Adorable stuff.

This is kind of off the subject, but I love your work, and I’m just wondering what kind of lens you use for your portraits? (if you give out your secrets!!) If not, I understand!
