Monday was a MUCH anticipated day this week. It was Emily’s very first day of preschool! I took her in, Carson in tow. We found her cubby. She got a name tag. She found her cousin Levi and some playdough and she was set. I wondered how she would do when I actually left her but she was just fine. She’ll ever be my independant one I’m sure.
I remember when she turned 18 months old and we started taking her to nursery at church – there were a couple of other kids her age who cried and cried when their mothers left them. Mine. She cried when we came to pick her up because she didn’t want to leave!
I could have done with at least a couple tears I think – just so I knew I’d be missed just a little.
She had so much fun! Came home monday afternoon with new songs to sing and told me all about the fun things she did. And while she was gone….hee hee hee…Carson napped and I scrapbooked, edited photos, got some cleaning done. It was so quiet around here I could hardly believe it.
Well, I am off to help Randal put up some moldings around here (yes, it’s been a year since we moved in here.) We said we’d get them up this summer and… well…we didn’t get that far. But they’ll be up. Soon.
I’m also a bit backed up on editing photos right now. So over the weekend I hope to get a good chunk of that finished up and will share as soon as I can. Some cool brother and sister shots, a darling little newborn baby boy, a lot of sweet kids.

And I am SO beyond excited that that photo is on the cover!!!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂 (I just had to share. I’m sorry! I mean Randal thought it was cool and everything, but he just didn’t TRULY get it. Ya know?) And just as exciting is the fact that I get to share the cover with my friend Wendy who scrapped the photo so beautifully!
Well, until tommorow I guess. I should hopefully have lot’s of photos to share by then.

Emily is sooo cute! I’m sitting here with my 1 year old and 6 week old and can’t imagine the day when they are off to school! hehe! I love your new banner…the fonts look good to me! Congrats on your photo being on the cover of that special issue. So very cool!!
