are the reason I need naps. They are the reason I about pull my hair out some days too…but that’s all I’m going to say about that.
😉
There really isn’t a moments rest around this house, not with these little kiddos running around. I literally can’t take my eyes off ’em for a minute or things like this and this tend to happen.
Well, on wednesday I ran downstairs to get meat out of the deep freeze for dinner, I got a little distracted and started sorting through what all I had down there…I SWEAR I was only down there for like 5 minutes. And I ran back upstairs to find this:
Is that flour you ask?
Yes. Yes it is.
All over your coffee table? All over that DARLING little boy?
mmmm hmmmmmm.
Did it get on the carpet?
OH YA! It got on the carpet. The couch. You name it.
Kindof one of those moments that I couldn’t even get mad. I could only be shocked. Just stand there and shake my head and ask myself Why?
and then grab my camera of course. 😉
I thought Emily was a busy toddler but clearly Carson has taken things to a whole new level. Emily did do this when Carson was almost 2 months old:
I have to admit I laughed outloud about this one. (After I made sure she hadn’t poked any eyes out of course.) She was quite proud of her work here actually. She had just watched Mr. Dressup (a Canadian children’s show) and he had drawn a clown face on himself and she was so excited that Carson looked like a clown now too.
And this has got to be the funniest thing we’ve seen yet! A few nights ago I went into Emily’s room to get her up to go potty before I went to bed. I looked in her bed and she wasn’t there. Sometimes she’ll take her blankets and pillow and make a little bed for herself on the floor so I had a quick look around the room. No Emily. Went out into the family room. She’s nowhere. I was so confused. So I went back into her room again and turned on her light and this is where I found her.
Fast asleep!
That is a little playpen for her dolls – it’s only about 20 inches long. Can you even believe she could fall asleep like that!? Randal and I were laughing so hard. Seriously, SO hard!!!
These kids. HONESTLY. They make me tired. Really, really tired. But they also make me laugh, they make me smile, they make me happy. And THAT – well that pretty much makes up for all the flour in my carpet, the vaseline I have had to clean out of hair and scrub out of clothes, the kitchen table I have to chisel food off of and all that other good stuff.
I sure do love these two!

Hee hee hee… dont you just love them.
When my Jack was about 2 he emptied an almost full bottle of powder all over himself and the floor. Classic.. the first thing I did was grabbed my camera.

Oh that cracks me up! I have similar pictures with baby powder. I have 2 boys (and a girl but she’s a baby) and I can already tell they are going to be trouble together! They are always together, up to something. And my Carson is only 14 months old so I know it’s just going to get worse! That’s for sharing those pictures-at least I know I’m not the only one!

OMGOSH! I am lol!
Boys sure are different!
My girls got into tons of stuff but it was definately different!
that last picture…makes it all worthwhile though, hey? 🙂

That is too funny! Mariah took the dirt out of a big potted plant once. It looked just like the flour mess C made. And Jason had a vasaline and diaper rash medicine fetish.

waaaaaaaaayyyyy too funny! Speaking of, Cole is being very, very quiet at the moment and I must go check on him. Can’t believe she fell alseep like that!!
candice palmer says
oh no! THey keep us on our toes, huh?
Sam had a thing for cracking eggs when he was little… on the floor. I’d nearly forgotten. 🙂
Oh – your pictures yesterday (or two days ago?) were INCREDIBLE! You’re photography so rocks.
AnneMarie says
I can’t stop laughing! you have a way about writing- classic style!!! it’s like I am sitting next to a friend… who is talking about MY KIDS!!! lol!
Joanna Bolick says
PS. Just found Cole fast asleep on the floor in his room, surrounded by his little tractors. Don’t know how he can sleep like that!

Too funny. I have a 2 y/o son…he’s my fourth. Thought I’d seen it all. No, he’s showed me there is a whole new level! He just wears me out. Used to scrap after all were in bed – now I can’t wait for bedtime so I can sleep too!
And be happy, it may be getting flour out of carpet is a little easier then the cracks in a hardwood floor. But cleaning up vaseline – you got me beat! 😉
melissa deakin says

hahah that’s so funny! kids really do the darnest things! And we’re better people if we can laugh about it rather than get upset. These pictures are worth so much as they get older. Glad you got to capture it.
Rachel says
