Dah da da da! Here she is. And that’s what I’m going to call her.
My Workbench. (this is the best photo I could get, it’s in the basement so there is very little light.)
It was a toss up between Scrap table and Workbench? Workbench just sounds so much more like – well, like I’m doing real work when I’m at it. Right? I can hear myself now, “Ok, honey, you’re going to need to take the kids for a few hours please. Can’t you see I’m at my WORKbench. I’m W-O-R-K-I-N-G. There are very important things to be done here.” I have a sneaky feeling that isn’t going to go over all that well.
I think it turned out pretty cute. I think she’d look great in the middle of some gi-normous scrapbook studio, but we’ve got limited space so she’s stuffed in right beside the computer desk for now.
We had the top done with stainless steel and I sanded the rest of it down and painted her white. Got those AWESOME metal bins at Superstorelove that place! Just need to get some labels on them. Really the least of my worries, but it’s on the to-do list.
So that is my Workbench. She will never be that clean again, I can guaruntee it.
