I can hardly believe how warm it has been the past week! We were over at my Grandparents house today and the kids were running through the sprinkler, we’ve been eating lots of popsicles and this weekend we’re off to the lake! Should be a lot of fun. I just love it when the weather gets warm again!!!
We’ve been trying to find lot’s of cool things to eat this week and this favorite salad of mine is always a hit with adults. My kids don’t like it. Which is just fine by me. Leaves more for the rest of us. 🙂
BROCCOLI SALAD:
2 bunches of fresh broccoli cut up small
1 medium purple onion
6 strips of bacon cooked until crisped and chopped
1/2 cup of craisins
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp. red/white wine vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
**I had cidar vinegar to use at home and so I just use that
**add whatever else you want to this salad, I know other recipes say add cheese, add sunflower seeds, use raisins instead of craisins.
**If you don’t like broccoli, you will not like this salad
When I find something I like I tend to eat it all the time until I get absolutely sick of it…and then move on to the next obsession. (We’ve been eating a lot of broccoli salad this week) Kindof like the time I went through a little polka dot phase and every scrapbook page I did had to have some kind of polka dots on it
(No, wait…still in that phase.) 😉

LOL on the polka dots….who knew polka dots and brocolli could have so much in common???

So….today, I was at ckconvention Manchester…..only quickly, for one class with Wendy Smedley (and Lin Sorenson).
