{Self timer shot}
Snuggling up on mom + dads bed to read books during the baby’s nap is a little tradition my now four year old and I share. It’s one of my favorite times in the day. A rare, quiet moment, just her and I. Reading books. Snuggling. Sometimes she likes to “do” my hair. We attempted a few self timer shots during reading time the other day and though we didn’t come away with anything that was actually in focus, I am in love with this this perfectly, imperfect photo of me and my girl. 🙂

Such a precious photo…I must make sure I capture my reading time with my girls. I think I recognise the book…Each Peach Pear Plum? If so…it’s a favourite in our house too! x

I think I need to figure out the timer on our camera! Do you have a remote button to capture the picture? That is such a sweet moment. Thanks for sharing!

I love that you included yourself in the photo…too many times we leave ourselves out. I love the post processing of the photo too.

I tried to do this the other day while wearing my grandmother’s apron and making homemade applesauce for the first time. My kids have very little photos of me and I thought of you while I was cooking. I set up my Nikon D40 on a stack of magazines on my bar, set the self timer and ran back. The pictures were all blurry. How do you focus the camera on you when you are not there to focus it?
Also, I’d love to see a post that has pictures of how you set up the camera using the self-timer. What do the setups look like? Can you take some wider shots with another camera so that we can see how you go about it in different situations?
I would really love to work on this area of my photography, but I’m just not sure how to go about it. It seems a little overwhelming!
