Being a mom is pretty special.
It’s exhausting, stinky, thankless, messy, tiring and a daily test in patience.
But its mostly just special.
I’m so blessed to be a mom of four beautiful, healthy kids and I’m so thankful to have these images with my two youngest as a tangible reminder of the joy that being a mother brings me. Looking past the spilled bowl of cheerios, the sibling squabbles, the inability to have an adult conversation void of interuption and all the daily noise, is sometimes necessary to find that joy….. 😉
…but joy is there.
In every sticky kiss, in each bedtime story, with each I love you and with every squishy hug.
I’m so thankful to be a mom!
My silent prayer for today is that I can look beyond the daily not-so-joyous events and see everything that motherhood is to me and smile.

There are some days I just want to rip my hair out being a mom, and then when I hold them close and smell them (yes, smell them, it’s wierd, I know), I just can’t let my babies go. They ARE everything!

Thank you Rebecca…sometimes we need this daily reminder.
Yesterday, I had issues from the moment my kids arrived home with their grievances from school, through homework, until we had to rush out the door for lessons. My buttons were pushed and I was on the verge of anger with one of my kiddos.
Then when I arrived at the lesson, the teacher’s child was having a full blown temper tantrum and I felt my heart go out to her, because I had just been through the same thing! I think that it is nice to know we’re not alone and we can be there for each other…to encourage and pray!
Thank you again for the blessed reminder today.

Great pictures and a beautiful post that is so TRUE.
I work from home full time and have a 7 yr old that goes to school and a 2 yr old home with me everyday, all day! It gets stressful but it is so worth it so I can stay home with my babies!
A great prayer too 😀
