When I take photos of my kids I want smiles -genuine smiles. Don’t we all? But sometimes they just aren’t as easy to come by as you might think. In fact, I’ve tried nearly every trick there is to get those real smiles. I’ve tried “say cheese” more times than I care to remember, a little bit of bribery and even some good old fashioned begging now and again.
Sometimes my efforts yeilded results, but most of the time they didn’t, which led to frustration for me and for my kids. Photo time was not always fun time, which meant real smiles weren’t always plentiful. But through trial and error, and using my own kids as guinea pigs, I’ve come up with a few techniques and tricks to help make photo sessions more fun, which leads to pictures of happy, smiling kids.

I don’t really have much in the way of creating creativity so I depend on those of you with the “creative bones” to share all of your great ideas. I love that you use easy to find stuff to create. Can’t wait to see what else you have in store!! As for the cheese…nothing beats the “peek-a-boo” cheese that comes from a happy baby!!!

  43. My hubby and I once had a very fancy cheese at a shnazzy restaurant…don’t remember the name of it now but it was similar to a fresh mozzarella. Yum.

  48. There are too many good cheese to choose just one. I love hard cheeses with lots of flavor. I also love soft cheeses like Bleu Cheese. I would love to win!
