Well, we’re all moved in and we are LOVING it here at our new (bigger!!) house. I’m thoroughly exhausted but we’re in and I’m slowly getting our life all organized again.
What else besides moving has been keeping us busy these days? Well…
A little boy I know turned 6 years old and we celebrated with a little family party.
Emily goes to Junior Rangers every Wednesday afterschool, a program organized by the Stenapa (Sint Eustatius National Parks service) and last week they got to take a boat out and go snorkeling. She was SO excited about it!!
We’ve gone on many walks at sunset when it cools off a bit just me and the kids while daddy is studying late. There are so many places to explore!
Our new backyard is filled with gorgeous trees and someone sure loves climbing in them!
This girls been working on some teeth and don’t let this picture fool ya! She’s been so miserable…all my kids have been late teethers and at 10 months old she just cut her first two bottom teeth today. Poor girl.
As for me, I’ve been doing plenty of this…and it’s safe to say that after this experience I will always appreciate having a dryer!

The Laundry is cracking me up. If I could count how many pictures I have of that very thing. Jonathan broke down and bought me a dryer from cost u less on St. Maarten. So worth the money.

Oh, Rebecca, God bless ya! Having to move away from everything you know has to be somewhat of a trying experience, but you seem to be handling it with pure grace!

LOVE seeing the daily life and how you are living on the island. Great that you are also capturing how different this is to “home”.
These photos remind me of tropical north queensland (australia). has very much the same feel. And yep, a lot of washing hanging under verandahs there as well!]
Would love to see more of the new bigger place!

I love hanging my washing outside but wish I had a big verandah to hang it under 😉 Loving all the daily life photos, it’s fun to see somewhere different. When we lived in South Africa, I used to be the one up the trees 😉

This new chapter of your life is interesting- I guess there are lots of changes – ok everything- but I would have guessed you would have the opposite reaction about the washing- I am also from australia – I would have thought you would have loved sun dried clothes… Guess not

oh please don’t get me wrong, I do love me some sun dried clothes but with the humidity and frequent rain ‘dry’ tends to be a relative term around here. 😉 There have been times where it can take up to a week to fully dry a load of wash that gets rained on…and I rarely ever do 1 load of wash with a family of 6. 🙂 I just know I’ll appreciate the modern convenience of having a dryer now more than ever to dry our clothes in less than an hour vs. a day or more. 🙂
