Making Everyday Beautiful

Outdoor Family Adventures with Lifeproof + Giveaway!

Thursday, August 7, 2014

Want to capture magical moments with your phone? Join our 7-day email course, Beyond Snapshots, and master the art of mobile photography. Learn more.

As a photographer, I love capturing images of our family out in nature. I can’t always bring my big camera along on our Outdoor Family Adventures, but no matter what, I always have my phone with me thanks to Lifeproof!

Capturing Outdoor Family Adventures with Lifeproof Cases

My husband and I bring our phones with us on all our outdoor adventures and we keep them protected in our  Lifeproof Nuud for iPhone cases. They allow us to take beautiful phone photos and have protected our phones while hiking, swimming, caving and more!

Capturing Outdoor Family Adventures with Lifeproof Cases

All of the images above were taken with my iPhone 5 as we explored nature in Waterton Lakes National Park, hiked Bell Rock in beautiful Sedona, made our way through The Narrows in Zion National Park and climbed the hoodoos in Writing-On-Stone. We’ve been using Lifeproof cases to protect our phones going on two years now and we recommend them to all our friends and family, we love them that much!

Capturing Outdoor Family Adventures with Lifeproof

I love the confidence of knowing that my phone is safe – whether I’m at home attending to my daily duties as a mom or at the top of a mountain snapping a photo of the amazing view! I also love being able to confidentially hand my phone over to my kids so they can capture these outdoor experiences through their own eyes.

This giveaway is now closed. Congrats to McKenzie Lynn Meuleveld!

Last photo I took was of two big pups, my lab and neighbors St. Bernard… out for an early sunday stroll in our big city! Scratch that – my amazing bf just delivered (photo worthy) breakfast to bed. My life proof has traveled down ski and sledding hills, to a glacier in Canada, whitewater rafting in Costa Rica, captured photos n videos underwater in a Miami pool, and gracefully bounced off the floor at Target. It’s time for a replacement (if you get one, don’t slide it into your pocket top of phone side first, as the plastic is thinner there and will rip and ruin the integrity of your case).

I last took pictures of our Alberta trip…….just got home. Wishing I had a life proof case when we went rafting.

I have never had a phone that took decent photos. This is mainly because I am clumsy and don’t want a high quality phone that I may destroy…totally accidentally! So, I have to lug around my DSLR everywhere I go…wrapped up tight in the camera case. Thus, missing many photo opportunities. However, my husband just surprised me with an iPhone so the FIRST thing I will take a photo of is my new Life proof case, which I will desperately need!! Thank you!

Last photo I took, my son putting a bucket on his head pretending to be a “police man”. Whatever works for a 3-yr-old 🙂

It is so awesome how adventurous you are as a family. Was it always this way? Even when your kids were younger? We have four year old twins and a two year old and I long for the days we can be adventurous. Just not quite there yet ;). We stick to small hikes and bike rides. But this gives me something to look forward to.

We’ve always done a lot in the outdoors as a family, even when the kids were little. We’d strap our babies on in our Ergo carrier and did many hikes together. We kept things bite size and are definitely able to take on a bit longer hikes and activities now that our kiddos are bigger.
