Is it just me or does it seem like the weeks tend to blur together sometimes? We haven’t even been busy with anything besides the the same old same old really. Carpooling to school, wiping snotty noses, putting kids to bed, getting ready for spelling tests, going to ballet class, watching American Idol, clipping our toenails, that sort of thing. I don’t have a really great excuse for not blogging other than the fact that I just haven’t felt like it. I’ve just been preoccupied. Lots on my mind I guess.
Next week I go in for surgery, a little Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy *shudder* and to say I’m not looking forward to it may be a bit of an understatement. I’m scared out of my tree if you want the good honest truth. Turns out, in amongst all the tests I’ve had over the course of the past 8 months, they happened to find a little (almost the size of a ping pong ball) kidney stone in my left kidney along with an underlying kidney condition that makes me prone to forming kidney stones.
Yippee.
But wait. There’s good news…I’m finally going to get to read all those Twilight novels I’ve never gotten around to. 😉
I fully intended on posting a Q and A on friday but I just never got around to it. Oops. I’ve been trying to get things all organized around here, meals ready, house cleaned for next week. Maybe I’ll get to it before I leave, I’m not too sure. In the meantime, I did update the 365 blog and I’m just going to throw a few photos up here that make me smile. Because kidney stone or no kidney stone, there’s always a reason to smile around here!
🙂

Wow! beautiful pictures, thanks for sharing them. I had gall bladder surgery when my son was 6 mo old, and my other two 3&5. It was more stressful getting ready to be out of commission than to actually get the surgery, so I really feel for you. As far as the surgergy, it was such a relief to be out of the pain I’d been in for 6 mo, that it was totally worth it. Good luck and good thoughts and enjoy those twilight books!

Thinking of you – and think (once the surgery is out of the way!) of the nice rest you will get in hospital catching up on that reading! 😉 I think that the THINKING about the surgery is probably worse than what happens (but I’ve only ever had 3x ceaserean surgery..does that count?) All the very best to you – and the family coping while you are not home!

You’ll be in my prayers! When I had my gall bladder out last summer, I knitted five scarves, watched every episode of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and read two books. Enjoy your books – I’ve read “Twilight” and would love to know how you liked the others.
Take care – I’ll be praying for you!

God lead me to this post. It is almost 4 a.m. and I can’t sleep. I am getting ready to have my gallbladder removed and I am terrified. Reading your post and the lovely comments has made me feel less afraid. I know you will be relieved after the surgery because I past two kidney stones out of the blue about two years ago and until I experienced it, I couldn’t have understood what it was like. I will be praying for you and looking forward to reading all about your recovery time reading and such after you are well. I think that I will busy myself getting ready also even though my sons are grown because one is disabled and lives with us. I will look forward to reading the other 3 books in the twilight series and crafting from my bed. ((hugs)). You children are so beautiful and your photos are always so good. I love the one with Addie between the two pair of jeans with that irresistible smile.
