I’ve been meaning to blog this week but literally haven’t been able to find a spare moment. I’ve been busy packing and getting things ready to head to CHA in Chicago this weekend – that and the fact that I am eternally behind on editing session photos is what’s been occupying most of my time.
Me and the kids are leaving early tommorow morning and are so excited to go meet the newest member of our family Hailey Ann McCance, my brother and his wife’s baby girl who was born on saturday (the day before my birthday, how fun is that!?)
I’m really looking forward to being at CHA this year. Simple has some really fun things planned including a sneak peek at Wendy Smedley and Aby Garvey’s new book (which I’m dying to see) and a special Real. Life. Scrapbooking. event. If you’re planning to be there we’d LOVE to see you!

Also, thank you so much for all of your sweet congrats on our exciting news, we’re so thrilled to be having another girl (or boy)!! And with all this talk of Carson and his pink blanket and pink binky I thought it only fair that I share some ultra-manly photos of his big boy self.
This child is ALL boy. Boy to the extreme I would say. His latest thing is to carry around a sword (which is usually an old paper towel tube) and yell ‘take that’ as he hits stuff (and occasionally his sister which we really don’t encourage) or yell ‘POWER RANGERS’ as he jumps off the furniture (thank goodness for all the older boy cousins he gets to learn this stuff from!) There has been a real emphasis on learning what the words ‘soft’ and ‘gentle’ mean these days…we’ll get it down before baby arrives I think(I hope.) So here’s the little man himself.
And of course our sweet girl.
Hope everyone has a great week….will be back monday.

We are also going through the sword phase at our house too. We finally bought the foam ones from Toys R Us. Not too harmful. Do you have a recommendation on a site that teaches you how to make those great banners for your blogspot? Have fun this weekend!

Hey Rebecca—hope you had fun at CHA–love your blog and I can’t wait to get my copy of your new book (ordered it today after reading the rave reviews from becky higgins on her blog!)
I really admire your talented photography and was curious if you use any editing software on your photos and what camera equipment you use–I am very amateur in my photography skills but would appreciate any tips or advice you could give me to make my photos more colorful and sharp (I have a Rebel Xti and Photoshop 5.0) Also, where do you develop your photos? My email is [email protected] if that is more convenient–Thanks for all the inspiration!!
