I’m not nearly as perky on Tuesday as I am on Monday you see. In fact, the perkiness wore off around 3:00 pm Monday afternoon folks.
I’m still here doing laundry. Still don’t have it all put away. Will it be done tomorrow????? It’s anyone’s guess really.
I’ve been having quite the time with Emily and her keeping her bed dry at night. I think I’ve washed all her bedding and remade her bed at least 5 times in the last 2 days. Just finished doing it all again tonight. She had been doing so well but in the past couple of weeks she has had quite a few accidents. I am thinking that aside from all that we do – make sure she doesn’t drink much after dinner, make sure she goes to the bathroom right before bed and then wake her up at 10:30pm – 11:00pm to go potty again – we just need to wait until she grows into this whole staying dry through the night thing – and in the meantime we might just go back to pullups at night. Any advice from you experienced mothers out there?
phewww.
I’m just thinking there’s got to be a maximum number of loads of laundry my washer and I can handle per day…
Alright. As promised. (finally…I know, I know) wedding invites and engagement photos.
I got the pictures all proofed today and then waited until it was too late in the day to get a very good picture of the invite…but this one will have to do. Blotted out a bit of info there…just because I thought it was wise. But I think you get the idea. A very simple, square shaped invitation. This was the only printed copy I had handy so the finished invites didn’t have the mismatched ampersands in there. The colors for the wedding are pink and orange. Cute colors. Cute couple. I went out exploring with the kids the day before the shoot and we found some really cool spots around town to do pictures. An old abandoned farmhouse, some pretty trees. So here are just a few from the morning…

Gorgeous photos Rebecca! I just checked out some of your others….awesome!
I also love the invite, so fresh and unique! Awesome work (as always)!
As for the training thing…..my oldest dd was really old….and we just waited until she was ready..it runs in my family. My 2nd dd was so much earlier….by age 3, done. John….is 3 1/2 and has lots of dry nights but not enough yet for me to stop the pull ups (however, I may try it out when the weather warms up). I think they are all different and their bodies will stop when they are ready. I know with my niece, they tried *every*thing known to mankind…..all of the gadgets, drugs, etc…and she was much older (like my oldest)…so we opted not to do any of that stuff (we dont’ do the drug thing really anyway) and my they were both around the same age.
Anyway..I’m sure you didn’t expect a book! Sorry for that 🙂
Hugs….because it sure is one of the more frustrating parts of raising children.

Hi Rebecca-LOVE your work. As far as the potty training (I have 7, youngest is 12)the best thing is to relax. All my girls wet the bed until they were 6-7 years old…YUK, but true. Make sure she isn’t allergic to milk-don’t know why, but cutting milk products out at night sometimes helps. Also just keep using pull ups, I would much rather sleep than get up 10 times at night-you have to do it anyway with little kids! She will eventually stop wetting-I promise! Hang in there-they do grow up eventually!
Love, MarilynL

The photos are just beautiful.
Oh the whole toilet training thing…. gRRRRR. My oldest was a breeze… fully trained in like about 3 months. Jack my youngest took exactly 1 year and 1 day to toilet train. But the bizarre thing was from Day 1 he was fully night trained. Did not once ever wet the bed. But during the day we would have accident after accident. All I can say is just keep at it and use encouragement. They are all different and it will finally click.. I know it seems like your child is the only child in the world that just has not got it.. but they will.

Rebecca, I have 4 girls, the youngest is almost 3. We went back to pull-ups after about a month of undies and bed wetting. I couldn’t handle all the laundry and the stress on both she and I of getting up to deal with wetting during the night. I’m trying not to make a big deal of it. Eventually she will stay dry all the time. Your little one too. Heather
