I love your blog and your new ebook – I’m reading it for a second time now! I would love to learn more about photographing children in action. I often get out my camera during playdates to get unposed shots of the kids, but I’m often disappointed with the results. I just purchased my first dSLR, so that might help, but any tips you can pass along would be terrific. I admire your photography work and would love to see more of your scrapbook pages too! 🙂

I would like more tips on photographing candidly, I really enjoy posed shots as the people sit still but generally children are on the go all the time and those shots are blurred.

I love all the info about photoshop. But I have no idea how to begin using it. So maybe some tips on that??? Or maybe I just need to hire you to teach me how to use it! Know of any classes or good books or anything for a total photoshop beginner?

I’d like to learn a bit more about how to streamline my workflow and cut down on the thousands of photos I have piling up on my computer. It seems like I always have a couple hundred shots to go through and it’s just daunting… so I leave it and keep adding, and adding, and adding…
I love the Ella Publishing website and have purchased a few books, including yours. I’m planning to spend some time today reading and (hopefully) getting some much needed inspiration!

I’d love to hear more about using actions, or other quick tips for editing photos. Seems that takes so much time for me, doesn’t leave time for actually scrapping the photos!
Thanks so much!!

Like others have said – I would like easy tips for those indoor, low-light shots. I hate using the flash (even on my dSLR), but sometimes you can’t avoid it. I’d like to know how to better use that flash (or any necessary accessories like a speedlight) or how to still get a good picture without the flash.
Thanks!

I want to learn about getting crisper pictures, and depth of field. and photoshopping. really, everything!

I would love to know more about your camera in general. I’ve been itching to get a “real” camera since I took a photography class in high school. I just have a point and shoot right now. I’d also like to know more about the rule of thirds and more about pics w/o peeps in them. Nature shots I guess. I LOVED your book btw. Fantabulous. My sister (who has a nice camera – grumble) was saying how she wanted your new book and I bragged about how I won it!! (I think she was jealous for like 2 minutes.) pahaha. Thanks again Rebecca!! L

I would love to learn more about actions. Or, perhaps how to use my point-and-shoot camera better – I carry that one around in my purse and use it the most (that SLR is just too big and heavy to car around everwhere)!

I love your pictures. I would love to lean more about how yo photograph kids so well. How do you get them to stay still, look at the camera, and look somewhat pleasant. I also find it interesting to hear what kind of cameras/lenses people use. Also if you happen to carry around a point and shoot camera in your purse or something for quick last minute photos, what kind of camera you have.
Joywlee says
I’d like to know how to decide what settings to use, is there a quick and easy guide to figure out what the ISO and aperture should be? I feel like my camera has so much potential and I just don’t know how to harness it.

I feel like I need to learn so much in photoshop. I would like to see more actions. I would like to see your workflow on a photo. I would also like some pointers on posing children and teens.
Thanks so much

Would love to know more editing tips – particularly batch editing – there has to be a better way than running the same action on every picture in the bunch right? I would also love to know what your go to settings are for everyday shots. It is great to learn about adjusting the settings on my DSLR and I love playing with them, but I find myself shooting in Aperture Priority or Auto for the day to day, life with 3 kids photos. What settings do you use to capture the “2 year old fell in the bath fully clothed and wants to get back out before you get a picture” moments? Also, love love your blog!

I would love to learn more about what lenses are best when and how to get myself of the auto mode!
