Last night wasn’t THE best night ever. We had a pipe leak in the basement and who knows when I would have noticed it except I went downstairs for something and stepped on one very soggy carpet. Randal found where the leak was coming from right away – cut a hole in our newly painted – never even had a hole in it drywall (sob, sob) and the leak was right there, easy to fix. It was leaking long enough to get the carpet/underlay good and soaked. So we were pulling up carpet and vaccuuming up water last night til about 11:30. So sad. My 4 month old house – haven’t even so much as hung a picture and we’re rippin’ up carpet. It could have been so much worse though – I’m so glad we noticed it right away and it was easily fixed. We’ve had fans blowing all night and all day to dry everything out. So it should be just fine.
On to better news. Emily met santa on friday and made sure he knew that she wanted a talking Dora doll for Christmas. Carson met Santa as well. But really didn’t care too much. We decorated gingerbread men and had hot chocolate and doughnuts. Great fun. It was freezing. But fun.
I just finished up a big assignment today and I REALLY need to clean-up my scraproom. I haven’t ever gotten it totally organized since we moved in, so tonight I’m gonna go to town. I may even get really adventurous and make LABELS.
Oh ya.

Oh, man, what a bummer about the leak in the basement! And in your new house!! We had a sump pump stop working and soaked our basement carpet–not a fun thing to clean up. Hope all is well now. 🙂
Oh, that stinks about the carpet!! So glad that the leak was easy to fix, though! And how cute are your kids?? Love those shots! We’re going to visit my family in Minnesota at the end of this week so I should be able to take a few SNOW shots myself!
