It may seem that I decided to take a little blog vacation for the past…oh how long…couple weeks almost. Phew. Sorry bout that. Been a combination of being busy and then just not feeling like blogging and then not being able to think of what to blog about.
But then today happened and I couldn’t NOT blog about it. A rather eventful day around here I’d say. Emily ‘stinker’ Cooper decided she’d like a mullet just like her brother and…well…took matters into her own hands.
Oy. I have to say there were tears over this one.
But I only cried for a little bit.
Once the reality of the situation finally hit, I got looking at the new do and figured it could still be saved. So we ran over to one of Randal’s cousins tonight, who cuts hair and got an emergency haircut. Thank GOODNESS.
I guess it was only a matter of time really. There are a lot of scissors around our house afterall and odds were it would happen one day…I’ll be able to laugh about it tommorow I think.
Maybe.
So it seems our family likes the whole mullet look…Carson is sportin’ one right now. But we still think its cute. The minute I take some scissors to his hair I know his little baby curls will be gone, so I’m hanging onto them as long as I can.
So this past weekend we spent at my mom and dad’s place. They live on a farm and the kids always love going there – they get to ride on the quads and go feed the cows with grandpa. So my Dad – brave, brave man that he is – agreed to watch the kids for us (he did call in backup from Great Grandma who doesn’t live far away) while my Mom, my sister Ashley and I went shopping for the day.
Just the girls.
It was so much fun. I loved spending time with them, laughing and catching up. Here’s a picture my dad snapped of the three of us before we left saturday morning.
So that was my fun weekend and my not so fun monday in a nutshell. Will post after photos of Emily’s new haircut tommorow sometime, she had to go to bed early tonight…I’m sure you can guess why, so no pictures tonight.

Oh goodness!!! Cole has gotten ahold of the scissors once, but, thankfully, he used it to cut paper and not hair. Oy is right!! can’t wait to see the new ‘do, though! Love that photo of the 3 of you! Hey – guess what? I just got the May/June SS, mS. FEATURED SCRAPPER!!!! Yay for you!!!

maddie did that too, but her hair wasn’t as long or as pretty as emily’s. She looks daring though witt the new do.
