Finally taking a quick minute to update the blog. So I’ll bombard you with holiday photos and what not for a bit here.
We had a wonderful Christmas – the first time we ever had Christmas day at our own house with just our own little family. We’ve always been at either of our parents homes Christmas morning and the traveling was just not something I wanted to do this year. We did spend Christmas Eve at Randal’s parents house and then on Boxing Day we got together with all of my family.
On Christmas morning we had to actually wake the kids up at 8am and opened what was in Emily’s stocking and then saved the rest of the presents for after church – which was at 9am.
We came home and opened the rest of our presents. Emily was super excited about Dora. See:
that’s super excited. Carson was more interested in ripping the paper and playing with the boxes.
Randal and I didn’t get eachother any gifts to open, we decided we would save up for the trip we’re taking in January for our anniversary (which is January 30.) We’re going to spend a week in Vegas! Woo hoo!!! And wouldn’t you know, CHA just happens to be right at that same time?! 😉
Here’s a few more pics from the holidays:
me and my sister ashley.
emily and the tree.
carson and his tractor.
My favorite thing about Christmas this year…
“Away in a Manger” sung in the sweetest little three year old voice. A few forgotten words and sung slightly off key – but to me it was absolutely perfect.
