A quick reminder to those wanting to participate in the simple things photo challenge, snap that photo and get ready to share this Sunday. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this week. It’s been such a treat looking at the all simple joys that you’ve been recording!
And a quick video to share…has anyone ever seen these plants? The locals call them “shame-lady-shame” and they’re so neat. (I’ve tried to look up their real name but haven’t found it yet.) The kids love to look for them everywhere we go and play with them.

So cool! Just did a quick search. I think it’s called the Mimosa pudica. Thanks for sharing!

They’re growing a bunch of those plants in the greenhouse at our botanic garden in Cheyenne! They called them by some other nickname but I can’t remember what it was. I’ll have to take note when I’m there next time!

I’ve always wondered what it’s called.
The kids around here call it pokey grass. Cause it HURTS to walk on it with barefeet!

My kids love playing with it too! They were facinated with it! In Hawaii, we call it “sleeping grass” (at least, that’s what it was called when we were growing up).
