Spring is just around the corner and here’s a fun and easy spring craft to enjoy with the kids. Inspired by this version with hearts, we dug out our simple set of supplies and got to work creating our own spring leis.
here’s what you’ll need:
-some string or yarn
-straws cut into peices (about 1 inch long)
-contruction paper or scrapbook paper for your flowers, flower centers & leaves
-markers, crayons or pencil crayons to decorate your flower pieces
-a hole punch to punch holes in the center of all your flower pieces
here’s what to do:
-cut out some flowers, circles & leaves in varying colors from cardstock/construction paper
-decorate your flower pieces any way you choose using markers, crayons or pencil crayons
-cut up your straws into approximately 1 inch long pieces
-start stringing your flower peices & straw beads onto your string
-when you`re done tie the ends of the string together and you`re done
Have fun making your own spring leis!

I’m thinking you used a die cut…is that so? If so which one? Thanks.
rebecca says
@Jackie
I just drew one flower & used it to trace then cut out the rest of them, but using a die cut would be a be heavenly. 🙂
