What do you use fonts for?
I use fonts all the time when I’m designing free printables and adding text to my photos. Fonts are one of the most fundamental design tools and they can add so much to whatever it is you’re creating!
I use Photoshop in all my design work, but I always recommend Photoshop Elements to those looking to start out in design and photo editing. It’s an amazing program! Another great option if you want to start creating with fonts is to try out PicMonkey. Picmonkey is a free online photo editor. You can use it to fix your photos, add beautiful filters and text and it’s really easy to use!

Thanks so much! Do you have a post on how to use these? I’ve tried to download fonts and always end up with some crazy things downloaded to my PC or it won’t recognize them. Thanks.

Gina, I don’t have a tutorial on installing fonts on my site, but here’s a great one: http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/how-do-i-use-these-fonts/ Hope that helps! 🙂

Loving these fonts. Just out of curiosity and because I seem to have an ever growing love of fonts, how do you choose which font you want to use. I have a hard time remembering all the fonts that I really like and what they look like. Thanks!

Kathleen — I seem to revert to my old favourites a lot of the time. When it comes to design projects it can take me a LONG time to pick out just the right font. I’ll try out a number of different fonts on a section of text until I find just the right one. 🙂

I found this website called Wordmark.it that helps you choose fonts by previewing a word of your choice with the fonts installed on your computer. It’s really cool and a bit of a time saver too 🙂
