THIRTY TWO {plus} hours of travel each way.

A miserable TWO and a HALF hour delay on the runway.

ONE amazing scuba experience on the reef.

A handful of near death encounters. Kidding. Sort of.

After a very full and exciting visit to Queensland, Australia I’m so, SO happy to report that I’m home safe and sound! I’m definitely feeling the jet lag and given the fact that I’m wide awake writing this post at 2:00am, I’m certainly not adjusting to the time change yet. I’m utterly exhausted + sleep deprived, but was it worth it?  Oh my goodness was it ever! I can’t wait to share every detail with you!

Right now I’m making my way through a mountain of emails and photos and will be playing catchup over the next few days before I head out again this weekend to meet up with my hubby. I haven’t seen him in six long weeks and before I found out I would be heading to Queensland, we’d booked a flight for me to go visit him in Texas where he’s taking a review course. To say I can hardly wait to see him would be an understatement!! 🙂 🙂  We’ll be touring around Dallas visiting some of our old haunts from the Chiropractic days and then we both fly home on the 18th. Our family will all be together again in the same country and I can’t even tell you how long we’ve been anticipating the day!

I’ll be breaking up the sharing of my trip into a series of posts covering the accommodations, food and all the exciting things we did. Is there anything else you’d like me to share? There’s so much to tell I’m not even sure where to start! I just need a bit of time to recover from the travel home and reconnect with the kids but I’ll be back as soon as I can.

Can’t imagine embarking on a trip like you did & having your other half gone as well. You inspire me with your travels. Rest up- we will all be here when you have recovered.

  5. 1500 photos?! WOW! I love the food one..because of the muted background but colorful plate. I am wondering how you edited this to make it so? And wondering how was the crocodile?! haha Great pictures. Soak up the time with your hubby!
