Can you believe this is our final month-in-photos collage for 2012!? Wow. If you’ve been playing along, give yourself a huge pat on the back for sticking with it for an entire year!! It’s so amazing to look at a whole years worth of photos like this! Have I mentioned how much I love this project!?
The next step in the process is to get all these photo collages put together in a photo book. I’ll be doing that using Blurb and adding some point form journaling from our monthly adventures in 2012. You can take a peek at what I’ve done for my book so far here. Scroll down for more info about what I’ll be doing with my photos month by month in 2013.
Here’s what our December looked like:
December was jam packed full of holiday memories and lots of family time. Alivia got her first official haircut. We played in the snow, we baked up a storm, we visited Santa and the kiddos practised so hard for their performance of Mele Kalikmaka at the family Christmas party. It was pretty stinkin’ cute if I do say so myself. 😉 We attended Christmas concerts, delivered gifts to neighbours and friends and ended the year off with a quiet NYE family celebration. 2012 couldn’t have ended on a better note and I can’t wait for all that 2013 has in store!
Here’s what our year looked like, month by month!
It just makes me giddy to see these collages all together like that! Eeeek! I can’t wait to get them all bound together in a book. If you haven’t been following along with our month in photos project not to worry – the collage template is available for free download and this whole concept is meant to be simple + easy to do. Simply pick a handful of photos to represent each month and plug them into the template. You could sit down and in an afternoon document all of 2012 this way!
For 2013 I won’t be continuing with the month-in-photos project the same as I have in the past. Since I’ll be documenting our year using Project Life it seems a bit redundant, but I love the whole monthly photo summary concept so much that I’ll be incorporating a monthly collage into my PL album at the end of each month. Watch for a new collage template for 2013 for free download coming next week!
So how was your December?
If you’ve created a collage of your month-in-photos for December, simply post your collage somewhere online, copy and paste the html code for the month-in-photos button below and include it in your post, then come back here and leave a link to your collage so everyone else can see your fun photos!
I can’t wait to see your month in photos!

I am so excited to see how you will use project life! It is something that I have been wanting to do. I love how the monthly collages for the whole year turned out so much that I think I am going to go back and do 2011 also. 🙂

Happy New Year, Rebecca! When I see lovely photos and events/activities of yours, I feel like my family should do more ;). Then I remember that we should be we who are :D. This year, I put together a month by month photo book of my son for the grandparents, who loved them! Maybe next year I’ll try to include more “journaling” type stuff like you thanks!

While reflecting on all that we did as a family during 2012, I realized that I should’ve been keeping up with each month as they ended. So instead of waiting until the end of the year to review each month, I will be doing it at the end of each month in 2013! lol. Thanks for the inspiration. Your collages are so lovely!

Do you mind sharing what software you used to create your slideshow? I’m curious how you were able to get it into a movie format so you could upload it to Vimeo.
thanks,

Hello there, what a wonderful idea! I’m relatively new to your blog so I’m very behind but I have albums and albums of images on my computer and would love to do this for my 2012. I tried downloading the template but it is not available – is it still available? Thank you so much, your images and creativity is amazing and I can’t wait to be a regular visitor.

I must say Rebecca, you truly inspired me with this project last January… thank you! I too was VERY giddy to see all my months put together.
It isn’t the only creativity you’ve inspired me with, this past year. and I just want to say thank you SO much. I LOVE your blog, your photography and your amazing creativity.

So sorry Kelly, I don’t have any of my photos posted elsewhere online. You can check out http://rebeccacooperphotography.com for some older images. I really should update my flickr account. 🙂
