I’m not opposed to allowing my kids to play with their food if it will help encourage them to eat a healthy snack. These cute little turtles were perfect for my apple loving 6 year old. Not only did she have fun making them with me, she had fun eating them too!

Instructions

Slice apple. Lay sliced piece face down on plate.

Cut two grapes in half length-wise. Trim off ends. Use these for the turtles legs, place them on the plate on either side of the apple slice.

Cut one more grape in half length-wise and trim a small portion off one end.

Spread a small amount of peanut butter on candy eyeballs to “glue” them to the grape. You could also use nutella or honey to attach the eyes if someone in your family has a peanut allergy.

Place the grape with the eyeballs on the plate for the turtles face and you’re ready to enjoy a tasty snack!
