Simple as That

Making Everyday Beautiful

36 weeks

Friday, September 7, 2007

Well, a couple weeks ago I finally realized…or was it I finally had time to realize….or maybe I finally had an actual quiet moment to myself and I thought….oh my gosh! I’M HAVING A BABY SOON!

i’m having a baby.

I’m due October 3rd (but really the 15th remember) so that gives me about 1 month I figure. 1 month for us to get that house finished, get all these photos edited, spend a whole bunch of one on one time with these kids, freeze some meals, get my hair done, try to reach my toes and paint them perty, wash the baby clothes – well, I could go on and on. One month to basically do a whole lot!

i’m feeling a little nervous about this.

I attempted a self portrait of what I am looking like these days and ewww. Not my favorite but there we be. Baby and me. That tummy is getting heavy and is a bit of a dangerous weapon too I should add. I’ve whacked more than one person with it in line at the grocery store and Carson is just the right height that he collides with it at least once daily.

It may be slightly lethal but it does come in handy sometimes too!

You could not be more adorable pregnant. You look like you just stuck a beach ball under your shirt. Best of luck with the new little one I’m sure you’ll do great!

I agree, you are so cute pregnant. I told my hubby that you look like you swallowed a basketball. I always looked like a beached whale! Man, if I lived even remotely close to you I would be there in a heart beat to help you out! I don’t miss being pregnant, but I sure do miss the baby part! Good luck in all!

What great shots to have as memories. I love the one of you using the bump as a shelf. I used to rest my tea cup on mine 😉 Do you always carry that low? I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well and am so looking forward to seeing your baby photos!

OK…I’ve never posted a comment on your blog before, but I SO had to relate to that last picture of you. Being able to rest a bowl of ice cream on the belly is quite possibly THEEEEE best thing about pregnancy! Good luck with all your preparations…such a fun time!

Rebecca! You are all belly!!! That ice cream pic is so funny and so cute. During my last pregnancy I used my belly to hold up my hot chocolate. Best wishes during your last month of pregnancy. You look great!

You’re sooo adorable! I fondly remember the baby shelf, and seeing you get a photo of it reminds me: how do you get so many photos of yourself, especially with the kids? My husband doesn’t take photos unless I specifically tell him to, and then he always gets his finger or something in the shot. One of my biggest regrets is that I have no photos of me and my babies, and I’m determined to be more present in the family photos.

    P.S. I LOVE Real.Simple–thank you!
