5 Scenic photos from Queensland, Australia

It’s been one month since I travelled to Queensland, Australia and I feel like I still have SO much to tell you! I’ve posted about my travels a couple of times here and here, but I haven’t even begun to scratch the surface of this amazing trip!

There are so many things I loved about Queensland – the people, the food, the array of outdoor activities to do while there – but what stands out in my mind is just how beautiful this area of the world is. Today I wanted to share with you five scenic images I captured while in Queensland and give you just a tiny glimpse at the beauty of this place!

Kayaking along the shores of Cape Tribulation was incredible. Surrounded by waves, beautiful beaches and rainforest it truly was heaven on earth.

On our drive to Port Douglas one day we pulled over at this spot. The turquoise water and the beautiful beach far below made the perfect backdrop for a few photos.

If you’re travelling to the Great Barrier Reef you simply MUST take the time to see it from the air. One of my most memorable experiences from the trip is the helicopter flight we took over the reef with GBR Helicopter Group. You truly get a sense of how magestic and vast it is when you see it from above. As I sat in the helicopter staring out at the reef below I was in awe!

As if the reef and the beaches weren’t enough, we also got to spend some time in the Daintree Rainforest exploring around the Mossman river and ziplining through the trees. The crystal clear water of the Mossman River mixed with its lush green surroundings made it such a tranquil spot. I could have hiked and explored for hours around the trails that could be found throughout the Rainforest. An outdoor lovers paradise for sure.

Driving along the Queensland roads, as we made our way between stops, I was so taken with the miles upon miles of sugar cane feilds. I captured this image near sunset one evening and you can see the sugar cane flowering and stretching on as far as the eye can see.

Words can’t do justice to all the gorgeous scenery I saw while in Queensland and this is why I must bring my family back to see it one day, so that they can experience it first hand with me!
