So many fun fabric selections thanks to Girl Charlee and Raspberry Creek Fabrics!
I always love seeing what everyone creates. Alright, you ready to make your own?
What you need:
Measure around your head and cut a piece of fabric that length and about 8″ wide.
Sew the long edge together with right sides facing, turn right side out
Fold coordinating fabric so you can fit full template on the fold and cut two pieces
Unfolded should look like this
Sew right sides together, leaving a small gap unsewn to flip right side out again
Sew the ends of the headband together by scrunching in thirds
Tie bow around the knot and you’re ready!
OR, add an alligator clip to the bow and wear it separately. I use these in my daughter’s hair all the time!
More headband fun:

What is the length of the bow template?! Printer isn’t working – just going to draw my own but was unsure of size… I’m thinking 6 inches?

I’m not too sure @Katie…this was a guest post by Carissa Miss —> http://www.carissamiss.com I’m sure she could answer your question. 🙂

Does the material for the bow/knot need to be a knit also, or does it matter? This was a great tutorial and I am excited to make a few for my new baby girl and her big sister!

Such cute headbands!! Thanks so much for posting. They’re EXACTLY the kind of headwrap I’ve been looking for! Also could you please give a bun tutorial from the blonde girl in the peach shirt and blue striped headband? That’s my favorite kind of bun but I have no idea how to do it 🙂 Thanks!!

Hi there @rebecca. Where did you get your glitter fabric for the bows?? I need some leads 🙂

Hi Rebecca! Love the headbands! Can you please tell me if you have a tutorial on how to make the style headwrap the girl in the peach top/blonde hair is wearing? Or the ones the lady in the 6th pic down in the brown and white stripe top has in her hand?! Love that style and can’t seem to figure it out! Thanks 🙂

Do you not sew the gathered ends of the wrap together? I put a different type of bow on the wrap, so I felt it necessary to sew the ends together and gather them when I was putting the bow on.

what kind of fabric did you use for the head band? was it cotton jersey fabric , does that have enough stretch
