At the beginning of 2010 I started this monthly photo project and I loved it so much I’ve decided to continue on with the same “month in photos” idea for 2011. Quick and simple to put together, this scaled down approach to project 365 has been the perfect solution for me.
Want to join me this year in capturing each month in photos?
You can download the new template I created for 2011 or use the one from this year. At the end of each month pick your photos, make your collage and share a link here! It would be so fun to see everyone’s collages each month! (Here’s an example of the 2011 collage template in action using some of my newest favorite photos taken last week by my daughter Emily.)
This years collage includes 5 photos and the size is 6″ X 11″ (which can easily be customized), perfect for a landscape mini album. Simply print off your collages, punch a hole in the upper left corner and at the end of the year put all 12 pages together with a binder ring. If you wanted to include more photos you can easily create a two page spread or, if you feel like it, change up each months layout by simply downloading all the different template combinations here.
For those of you might find it tricky to narrow down your favorite photos to only 5 or 10 each month, I whipped up this 12X12 collage just for you! Use as is, crop it smaller or even create a two page spread and you could fit as many as 22 photos from your month in there.
You can download the 12X12 collage HERE as well. Enjoy! 🙂
Customize the background to any color you’d like or switch up the fonts then add your photos to the templates easily using clipping masks (find a simple to follow tutorial on using clipping masks here). Not up for trying out clipping masks, simply crop & add your own photos over top the designated black photo areas. Use control-T to adjust the size of your photo. By holding down the shift key while adjusting the size of your photo it will remain in proportion without becoming distorted.
You’ll have to let me know if you’re on board for ‘a month in photos’ during 2011 and check back here at the end of each month to link up and share your collages! This will be so FUN!
Happy New Year everyone!
Rebecca this is awesome! For the past few weeks I’ve been trying to come up with a photography project other than P365. A project that captures the details of my life that doesn’t leave me with an overwhelming 365 photos. I’ll be joining you in 2011 🙂
Than you for the templates.
Very cute! I’ll definitely use these. Right now I’m doing a project life type project, but I also try and do a weekly page for my newborn (he’s #4 so I’m really trying not to neglect his baby book.) These will look great with that project and any monthly round-ups I do. : )
I’ll be joining you too! I attempted Project 365 for 2010 and kind of got lost during the last few months after my new baby was born. I’m going to give your spin on the project a try. It looks like it will be much easier to keep up with! Thank you for the templates and for sharing your great ideas!
These are gorgeous Rebecca! Thank you for sharing them.
Very cute! I’ll join you! I saw the 365 but that just looked like too much last year. Thanks for the templates!
I’m in! Today is my LAST DAY of my Project 365 and it’s been hard but fun. I think I’ll actually miss it a bit so this will be a nice way to keep it going a bit….in a much easier way! Thanks!!
Thanks Rebecca! This is a wonderful idea! I wanted to do Project 365, but I know I will be overwhelmed by trying to take a photo a day (I tried it last year and with the business of life, I forgot on many an occasion)! Thank you for the templates and for this fantastic solution to taking a photo a day!
Thank you for the templates. I’m going to join in this year. Sounds like fun!
You are so generous to share these. With a grandbaby due in 29 days I will definitly use them.

I am definitely in, Rebecca! I’ve done project 365 for two years and I’m looking forward to the more relaxing approach of monthly layouts. I can’t wait!
I wrap up Project 365 on February 28. I’m really having trouble staying inspired now that the holiday season is over. I’m definitely on board for a Project 12! Thanks for the terrific templates, Rebecca!

This is a fantastic idea. My sister just shared this link with me and I’m excited to try it. Thanks for the tutorials and the templates.
Thank you! I was tryin’ to do the 365 but life isn’t as easy as being able to take a photo a day. So for these templates, thank you! I no longer need to take another 15 -20 mins creating my own!
Aloha!
