We had a fun weekend at my parents place. I got to have a nap while I was there! (YAY for mom’s!!) That was definately the highlight for me! Emily got to go on the quad with Gpa and Carson was quite the little entertainer. He loves to ‘dance’ these days and he’s got some killer moves I must say! 😉
So I’ve just got a few more things to get ready before Christmas but for the most part I’m good to go. Just have a couple gifts to wrap and a salad to make for Christmas Eve dinner at Randal’s parents house. I’m just not used to this. Being on time. Ahead of schedule. It’s new for me. But I’m likin’ it!
Last night I was making these little guys for Randal to deliver to a couple of families and we took a plate of them to our Christmas party last week.
It’s a Pampered chef thing. Just chocolate chip cookie dough, roll it into balls and bake in a mini muffin tin. Then you use this little melon baller looking wooden deal to smoosh ’em in the middle (are you following all my technical jargon?), then fill ’em up with cream cheese icing (the store bought variety.) So yummy and so SO easy.
Just thought I’d share a couple pages I’ve done over the last couple weeks.
I scrapped this photo once already, but it was so long ago – in fact the page I did using this photo was one of the first few pages I ever had published.
It was fun to try scrapping the photo a different way. (The color of the background isn’t yellow at all IRL, it’s just a tan colored cardstock – looks a little wonky in the scan. sorry.)
I also did this one last week using this photo of my Mom with the kids. Love it. It was taken back in August. So Carson would have been 8 months and Emily was almost 3.
I think those Karen Foster loopy brads are so cool. I put the loopy brad in the center of the flower along with a little circle punch out of the BG paper. I drew the circle on a transparency, cut it out and then attached it behind the flower. It’s a pretty simple page. But I think the photo and the journaling are the real highlights. So happy week before Christmas all! Later, R.
