Things around here have hit a level of ‘crazy’ that I have not quite experienced before. Not even since we were in the middle of building this house, with a newborn baby while living in Randal’s parents basement. That was crazy. But life
right now
it’s CRAZY. Capital letters CRAZY. (That means really crazy.)
But it’s definately a good crazy. We’ve had our house on the market for a few months with no interest at all until last week. A couple came by to look and next thing we knew it was sold. The very night they looked at it they put in an offer. They wanted us out by Dec. 8 and we said ‘mmmm…that’s pretty quick, if you give us this much we might do it’ and they said ‘done deal.’ And we said ‘wait a second…you were supposed to say no…’ But they didn’t and so we’re moving. In 2 weeks. (hee hee hooo, hee hee hooo…..deep breathing.)
We’ll be building again and Randal is starting to get everything in place to start that soon and I’m busy packing.
Last week I also had the chance to do an interview over at world talk radio. I stressed about it the whole week before for no reason at all because it was actually a lot of fun. It’s not often that I get to talk about scrapbooking and the reasons why I love it – Randal’s not really up for those kind of conversations much.
Just be forwarned if you do listen to the interview I sound like I’m about 15 years old over the phone and I assure you – I am not. But you’d be surprised how many phonecalls we get at this house where I answer the phone and the person on the other line asks if my mom or dad is home. I kid you not.
So in the interview I talked a little bit about the Beautiful Basics book and about the latest project that I’ve been working on and that is a book of my own (this is part of the CRAZY I was talking about earlier.) It is really starting to come together. And despite all the ‘crazy’ that it has entailed it will be so worth it and I can’t wait for ya’ll to see it come June 2007. There are 6 incredibly talented ladies who are contributing to this book and each time I see one of their pages I get more and more excited! Eeee!
So, I will try, try, try, to keep up with the old blog but be assured that if I am not blogging I will be doing one of the following:
a) scrapbooking.
b) scrapbooking.
c) scrapbooking.
d) trying to find my way out from underneath a pile of boxes
e) doing deep breathing excercises
🙂
Take care and stay tuned for engagement photos.

WOW – you really are busy! Let me know if you need any help packing and moving. 5 times in the last four years, and once in the cold snow of December too, I know how you feel. Where are you going to live! And one more thing, I love your new banner. I can’t believe how much emily looks sooo much like you, easy to see with the pics side by side.

oh my gosh, I can’t even imagine doing what you’re doing right now and worrying about a house. We sold ours last spring before we moved ad it nearly did me in with two little kids, and that was before all the other stuff on the plate hit ; ) Hang in there!!!!
