Crayola has found the perfect way to fuse creativity and technology with the new Color Alive Action Coloring Pages and accompanying app! We recently spent an afternoon exploring all the possibilities with this unique, first-of-its-kind user experience! My 5 year old’s reaction to seeing her coloring creations come to life was priceless and here’s how we did it!
How it works
1. Get coloring. My kids love to color so coloring their Color Alive pages was just one of the many fun things about the Color Alive experience. There are coloring pages for all ages: Skylanders™, Barbie™, Enchanted Garden™ and Mythical Creatures™. Each book contains 16 coloring pages, each featuring a unique character and animation
2. Use Special Effects. Color with the special effects crayons, then scan the magic crayon with the Color Alive app to unlock a virtual coloring effect such as Fire-Breath and Pixie Dust. My kids thought this was so fun!
3. Scan your creation. Using the Color Alive app scan your creation. It’s so easy – just point your device’s camera at the coloring page, click “4D” and watch what happens next!
4. Watch your creation come to life. Use the Color Alive app to Bring Your Coloring To Life. My kids loved watching their characters dance around our house. They had fun snapping photos with them and were amazed at the unique characteristics each one had based on how they’d colored it!
