It’s been an exciting couple of days around our house! One exciting thing being that I’ve been pouring over the design proof (that’s what the magazine people call the rough draft of the book design) of my book. Wow! It’s looking so dang CUTE! The colors, the photography, the cover. It’s been so fun to actually see all these pages and projects and hours of work starting to come together and look like an actual book!
While I can’t really show you anything YET what I thought might be fun is to share with you a few details about what the whole book-writing process has been like, a little peak at what you might find inside and also introduce you to the FABULOUS ladies who contributed to this book.
Sound like fun? Well, stay tuned. I will be back tonight with lot’s to share.
🙂
PS. I thought I’d add…if you have any questions you’d like me to answer while we’re on the book topic, ask away and I’ll do my best to answer them over the next couple of days.

I have a question: how did you manage to stay out of the mental institution during your project-making process? Heh. ; )

Is your book all stuff from you or are there other contributors as well? If there are, did you choose them or did Simple choose them? Also, how long did it take you to put the book together?

So curious how a book like yours comes together (& I can’t wait to buy it!) I was wondering if it’s hard to “write” a scrapbooking book when so much has already been written on the topic in past books & magazines?

Hi Rebecca, I am so looking forward to reading your new book. I would also like to know about the other contributors and more about the theme of your book.

I am curious about the process that led to writing the book? What made you decide to write a book? Thanks for sharing!

Hello Rebecca, I was curious if it was a little overwhelming, the idea of writing your own book? I would feel totally incapable. I am sure it will be great. Can’t wait to see it!!

How were you chosen to write a book?

I’m very excited to hear more about the book and know who the contributors are! When’s it out?
How did you decide what direction and theme the book was going to have, and did you have a lot of free rein? LOL Lots of questions huh?

hi rebecca! did you pitch the book concept to SS or did the editors assign it?

I’d like to know about your time line for this book….The idea came to you how long ago? You found a publisher before you asked the contributors to participate? or got the contributors on board first and then took it to a publisher? How involved was the publisher during the planning stage.
It is thrilling to be allowed to glimpse this part of the idea-to-bookstore journey! Thank you!
