Well, I had totally forgotten that today was Family Day here in good old CAN-ada…Randal had the day off so we went into the city and ran a few errands, grabbed lunch at the hamburger store a.k.a MacDonald’s. and just spent some time together. The kids are feeling a bit better and so we thought we’d get out of the house for a bit.
Well anyway, sorry to leave you hanging all day…cause I know you have just been DYING to see these pictures right?! 😉
I like to think you have anyway.
So here’s a few of my favorites from the day.
It was pretty cold, but no blizzard like conditions – for which I was SO, SO grateful. The sun was shining and we just kept running inside every few minutes to warm up. So here are Kade and Laura…everyone say “awwwwwwwwwwe” with me…aren’t they so sweet. And in love!
Now seeing as this was only my second photography ‘job’ so to speak, I know there is still so much for me to learn. I made mistakes, believe me – overexposed, underexposed, missed little details (veils get stuck on corsage flowers a lot!) but it was such a great learning experience for me. I’m almost glad I made the mistakes -now I know exactly what NOT to do next time. So
are the rest. Hope you enjoy and hope that looking at these two it brings back fond memories of the day you were married. I know I spent a good part of the day reminiscing. 🙂 So let me know what you think. Comments. suggestions. Which ones are your favorites…
Hope you enjoy!

Lovely wedding photographs! I especially like the flowers, and how they contrast with the pale background. I couldn’t link to additional wedding photos – perhaps I missed something?
Oops! I’m a little new at posting comments. Just want to explain that I deleted my first comment and reposted it, after I noticed a couple typos (in case you’re wondering why it was removed).
Glad you had a nice Family Day today.
I think the pictures are amazing, Rebecca!! I absolutley love the one of her bouquet, but they are all beautiful. Wish I could take pictures as good as you!
Oh they are so nice. I like the B&W more – the they don’t look as cold. Just love the one with her leaning back to see him!
Oh, Rebecca, they are awesome, awesome, beauteous!!!! You did such an awesome job! I love her boquet!

great great photos … I’m shooting my first wedding this saturday (luckily it’s for a friend) … any pointers?
thanks!
I think you did awesome. One of my favorites is the colored one of them where the bride’e eyes are kind of scrunched shut and their hands are together at the waist. It’s also the one where the veil is stuck over the corsage- but to me it is so beautiful and spontaneous and it depicts a more “real” feel to how the day actually goes by. As a wedding coordinator I see a lot of weddings and I always think that the most memorable moments of the wedding usually aren’t the most perfect ones- but the ones that evoke emotion. Very sweet…and yes- they brought back memories. Thanks!
Those are gorgeous Rebecca!!!!!!
Rebecca… these are awesome. Laura & Kade look so cute. It does take you back doesn’t it. You did a fantastic job (of course). I’m sure she and all the fam are impressed and so thankful to have an incredibly talented SIL. Love the bouquet shot. simple and beautiful!
Beautiful job, Rebecca! Love the bouquet one. So pretty. And the ones outside with the little snowflakes. Those are snowflakes, right? Lol.

Dear Rebecca: I finally got a chance to look at your blog today. The wedding photos & your 1st professional job with the little girl are great! They look perfect to me. Another talent you have discovered! Looks like you had a great time in Las Vegas too. I’m glad your life is so rich & full right now. Love ya! (Yes, I’m the proud Mom)

Family Day, well you must be in Alberta then, right? I found your blog through Wendy Smedley’s blog. You are an amazingly talented person, in so many areas. So jealous of your talent. If I am correct and you are from Alberta, what is your fave nearest store?
Hi, I found your site while looking for wedding vows and wedding planning ideas. Even though you didn’t have exactly what I was looking for I did get some nice ideas. Check out my link here if you need any wedding info/ideas for your use. You’d be surprised how cheap some of these items really are. I sure was!
