I hope you all have some fun plans for the weekend! We’re hoping to stay home and do some relaxing after a busy birthday week. If I catch a nap at some point that would be so great! 😉
I’ll leave you with a list of 5 things I’m loving {read: obsessed with} at the moment! I’d love for you to tell us in the comments what products you can’t live without these days, it’s always fun to discover new must have items! 🙂
Have a fabulous weekend everyone! See you back here for Simple things Sunday.
We celebrated our sweet Addie girl’s 5th birthday this week and continuing with the theme of simple + handmade from last years party I created a few inexpensive elements for her butterfly themed soiree. I just love Teresa Collins new {Tell Your Story} line! The colors, the vintage feel – everything – and the papers were absolutely perfect for creating these little invites for Addie’s party!
I discovered these plastic 4X6 photo containers at the dollar store some time ago and recently stocked up on a few more because I love them so much. They’re the perfect size for crayons, card games, pip squeaks markers and other kids craft supplies! I store so much in these handy little containers and they’re great for grabbing on the go when I need coloring supplies for church or doctors appointments.
*ETA: I got these containers at Dollarama for those of you asking. I know a lot of you don’t have access to this particular dollar store but I did some searching online and found the same containers available on Amazon: Clear 4X6 photo cases – 10 pack
My sister was kind enough to lend me this darling book over the Summer and I loved it SO much. I couldn’t put it down and read it cover to cover in one day! This is the author, Julianne Donaldson’s first novel and I canNOT wait to read her next work. Love this book and I recommend it to everyone!
After a particularly horrendous waxing appointment about a month ago I asked my hairdresser if she had any products she would recommend for at home waxing and she told me about the Gigi Creme Wax microwave waxing kit. I’ve been getting my eyebrows and upper lip waxed since I was in my teens and I’ve tried countless at home hair removal systems but have never found one that worked…until now! I purchased this waxing kit and it works like a charm! No more pricey waxing appointments for me, the whole kit only cost me around $20 and it removes unwanted hair quickly and easily. The wax is super sticky so removing it afterwards takes a little effort, but it’s worth it.
Of all the Arbonne products I’ve tried recently, their Fortifying Hair mask is one of my most favourites! The way my hair feels after using it is amazing – it has more volume, my natural curl is enhanced and my hair just feels healthier overall. Like all Arbonne products the hair mask is free of all petroleum based ingredients. It is full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals to help strengthen, repair and revitalize your hair.

Five things I can’t live without right now: 1) Advil; 2) cough syrup; 3) green tea; 4) Scotties tissues – lots of them; and 5) my pillow. My husband came home from work with a head cold right before Thanksgiving and I was the next lucky recipient! I haven’t been doing much except coughing and blowing my nose. My kids don’t even want to be in the same room as me!! I don’t blame them.

Those same 4×6 containers can also be found at most craft stores like Hobby Lobby and Micheal’s. They are between $1 to $2, depending on the week’s sales. I actually just stocked up on a bunch of them today! 89 cents, woo-hoo! Love this idea, I may have to see what other supplies I can fit in them. 🙂

What a steal Marissa! Thanks for letting us know where else you can find them. 🙂
