Hi everyone! My name is Kiki (yes, my real name, not a nickname) and I am so excited to be visiting today from Kiki Creates, where I share what I have been creating on the computer, the sewing machine, the oven and anything else I can get my hands on!  I am addicted to cute paper, fun fabric and my hot glue gun!  Having 3 little kids keeps my life busy and my creating time somewhat limited, but some of my favorite time is the time when I get to create WITH them.  Seeing them get to express their creativity by making things makes me happy, so in our house, we do it a lot!  Today I am excited to show you two of our latest quick projects, one for a younger crowd, and one for the older kids! 
FINGERPRINT RAINBOWS:
This first project takes just a few items to get going…a piece of paper with a hand drawn rainbow on it, ink pads in varying colors, a wet wipe (or something for your kids to wipe their fingers with) and some cute little fingers for dipping!:)
To make our cute rainbow today, simply put your ink pads out and let your kids ink up their finger and start filling in one of the lines of the rainbow. When they finish with one color, clean their finger and go on to the next! This is a super simple craft, but perfect for the younger crowd with their short attention spans.
And of course, one of my favorite things is having a piece of art to hang with their cute little fingerprints on it! It really is so sweet.
TOILET PAPER LEPRECHAUNS:
For this second project take out and use your empty toilet paper rolls. (We never throw them away in our house!) Make a cute hat for your leprachaun by cutting a bigger circle and a rectangle (1/2″x5″) out of green cardstock. Wrap the rectangle in a circle and glue it, then glue it to the green circle and glue the whole hat to the top of the toilet paper roll. This is how I gave it to my boys to paint, so all the hot gluing was done prior to painting. The only other material you need is paint and a paintbrush!
Now simply let them go for it! I love to see the different styles of my boys. One of mine loves things to look just as they are (a leprechaun has to have orange hair, green clothes, etc), while the other makes sure that whatever he makes has eyes, a nose and a mouth and from there, just loves using ALL of the color he can. Regardless of their style, I love how they both turned out, and it is something that is small enough that my boys have taken around to play with them.
Isn’t is just the cutest thing?!

    you might want to consider getting rid of the word verification feature in this comment section. or modify it somehow.
    what happens is that after you type in your message and press post comment, the screen returns to the beginning of the post. many people might think their comment is published when in face they haven’t finished it.
