Making Everyday Beautiful

friday craft day: snowy snowman

Friday, November 11, 2011

Tired of keeping up with the holiday hustle? Enjoy a calm season filled with MORE memories & LESS overwhelm: Join us for 12 Days to a Simpler Holiday Season.

This girl of mine cannot stop talking about snow, ever since she found out we were moving home to Canada right before Christmas {only 34 more days…but who’s counting right!??} 😉
Since Addie girl can’t wait to play in the snow and we’re a little short on the white stuff here in the Caribbean, we thought we’d make our own snowy fun! We pulled out some basic supplies…
cotton balls
construction paper
white cardstock
a glue stick
…and we built ourselves a snowman! Addie {four years old} loved this craft and I think it had a lot to do with the fact that she could do it mostly by herself! I don`t know about at your house, but doing things all by yourself is a pretty big deal around here! 😉 I had all the snowman parts cut out ahead of time and Addie was able to piece her little snowman together and add some snow/cotton balls all on her own. 🙂

You’re such a cute mama, Rebecca! I love this and can’t wait til my little dude is old enough to really get into crafts like this. For now all we have is watercolors which tend to end up more on our table than the paper!
