Making Everyday Beautiful

it’s birthday time

Friday, November 3, 2006

It’s hard to imagine that two years ago we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of our second baby girl (according to the ultrasound.) October 31st was my due date and I was SO ready to have that baby.

Well, October 31st came and went without so much as a braxton hicks. Randal was getting ready to travel to Dallas, TX to write board exams and I was in a panic thinking he wasn’t going to be there for the babys arrival. With a little help we convinced that baby it was time to come out before daddy had to leave and on November 4th – to our surprise – a little baby BOY was born!

I’ll have to tell you more about his arrival sometime! I have plans to do a scrapbook page all about Carson’s surprising delivery.

And what a boyish boy he is! He is so into ‘hi-hoors’ (dinosaurs), loves to wrestle his sister (much to her dismay), he went to watch his first football game a few weeks ago and now football is his latest obsession. He’s all grunts and growls and loves to jump off everything and is SO loud.

Ahhhhh…..boys. 🙂

But he is momma’s little boy! He loves to snuggle up and read stories, he has the sweetest “i uv ooo’s” at bedtime, he loves to sing songs and sings what words he knows along with me when we sing our favorite lullaby at bedtime. There’s a soft and snuggly, sweet little boy in behind all that rough and tough exterior.

Well, my big boy is turning two tommorow (did I already mention that I can’t believe it!!) and we’re gearing up for a little family party. There is a cake to be made, presents to be wrapped and a house to clean so I best be off.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Happy birthday, Carson! I’ve been reading your blog for awhile, but I’ve never commented. Tonight I had to, b/c I’m just wondering, if you’re husband went to chiropractic school. When you mentioned boards and Dallas, I was curious. That’s currently what we’re doing is the reason I asked. (We’re from Idaho.) Anyway, love your blog – especially all your beautiful pictures.
