Simple as That

Making Everyday Beautiful

night and day studios giveaway!

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

We had the fabulous opportunity this past week to test out a few new apps from one of my favorite company’s night and day studios! My obsession with their cute apps started when I purchased Peekaboo Barn for my then toddler and it quickly became a family favorite, along with the rest in their darling peekaboo series.

When we made the trip here to the Caribbean we had just purchased an iPad, thinking it would be helpful with keeping the kids occupied on the long trip. Because we weren’t able to bring a lot of books with us we also loaded it up with eBooks and other fun eReaders.

I was so excited to hear that night and day studios had recently added some more fun apps to their collection, since the kids and I already loved their peekaboo apps so much. Here are a few of them:

Go away, Big Green Monster! |  Caillou’s World |  Lucha Libre USA
Counting with the very Hungry Catepillar | Richard Scarry’s Busytown
My two youngest {ages 22 months and 4 years} were instantly drawn to the Counting with the very hungry catepillar app. They’re both so into counting right now! Filled with Eric Carle’s beautiful illustrations and interactive counting activities, this app was right up their alley. I was actually surprised that my 6 and 9 year old could even enjoy it too, as it has 5 different levels and there was a little bit for every age.
All four of the kids LOVED Go Away, big green Monster! I think it was the unanimous fav between all the apps we tried out. You can read along with the book, narrated by author Ed Emberley himself, listen to the adorable Big Green Monster song {which has been stuck in my head all week by the way!} and the big green monster is even an silly interactive little guy. 🙂 We LOVE this app and it couldn’t be more perfect for Halloween time!

My oldest two kids are dying to try out Lucha Libre USA! What’s not to love about choosing your favorite photos and turning yourself and your family and friends into masked Luchadors!! Ha! It looks so hilarious!!

Today night and day studios is giving away FIVE of their brand new apps!!
There will be FIVE winners, each of which can choose one their favorite night and day studios app listed above for either iPad/iPhone/iPod!
