This week we had the wonderful opportunity to review one of Kiwi Crate‘s creative kits for kids! We loved it so much and I wanted to give you a little peek at all the fun we had! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post for a chance to win a Kiwi Crate for YOUR kids to try!
Kiwi Crate delivers monthly kids craft kits right to your door that are filled with materials and inspiration to encourage creativity and curiosity. Projects cover a number of developmental areas through art, science and imaginative play for kids ages 3-7.
When our kit arrived we couldn’t wait to open it up! The theme of our crate was the Antarctic and it was filled with everything we needed to complete the projects inside including darling, illustrated instruction books. I loved how the booklet also included some fun facts centred on the theme!

The kids got right to work creating with oil pastels, water colour paints and had a blast!
Carson {age 8} was right into the pastel drawing – crafting is serious business you know! 😉

Amidst all the painting and colouring I was able to sit back and watch and help as needed. Having all the supplies on hand in one convenient kit was fabulous. I wasn’t searching for materials or cutting things out – all the prep work was done, we could all focus on being creative and enjoying the time together as a family.
Here the kids are putting the finishing touches on their penguins for the penguin bowling game which was a huge hit! Included in the kit were supplies for two projects as well as an “explore more” bonus activity booklet with some fun ice experiments that we look forward to doing together tomorrow!
Overall I was really impressed with the kit from Kiwi Crate and my kids absolutely loved it and are already asking when the next one is coming! From the fun surprise of opening it when it arrived to the well thought out activities and fabulous design of the kit itself, we were definitely impressed with our Kiwi Crate experience!
Disclosure: We received a free Kiwi Crate for review purposes.

I have looked at this before for possible gift ideas. It says it is recommended for ages 3-7. Do you think the crafts appeal to older kids as well…I am thinking ages 6-11? It looks like they would still have fun with it.
Pieni Lintu says
Looks so fun. 🙂

I heard wonderful things about Kiwi Crate regarding their activities and also the quality of their materials. I see the Pentel oil pastels above and am very impressed. You could continue using that! I wish my 2yr old was more into crafts, but perhaps next year he’d be interested. Tks for sharing!

Tanya, thought the recommended age range is 3-7 all of my kids really enjoyed the activities and mine are ages 2 {almost 3}, 5, 8 and 10. My son who is 8 was right into it and my oldest was able to read the instructions and do the activity all on her own without my help which she loved. I hope that helps. 🙂 I think Kiwi Crate would make a great gift idea!!

Thanks for the review of a product new to me. My kids would love the dinosaur kit. It looks like a good variety of activities – with some very tactile activities (play dough) as well as drawing and dress up. And what kid doesn’t love wearing their own creations?! My whole family crafts together fairly regularly. We always have a blast, and looking for more to do. I think they would love the Growing Gardens. They have been begging me for a year to plant a vegetable garden, but I just haven’t had the time to go find individual supplies and get it done. Here it is in a kit. Love it! Plus there are crafts to go with their garden! Could it be any better?! [email protected]
