Making Everyday Beautiful

Project Life Album featuring the Olive Edition

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

Want to capture magical moments with your phone? Join our 7-day email course, Beyond Snapshots, and master the art of mobile photography. Learn more.

This month the 2013 Project Life Creative Team was challenged to use only the very basic Project Life supplies to create their layouts. I love keeping things simple and I absolutely loved this challenge! Using nothing but the Olive Edition Core kit + some Pocket Pages + my favorite journaling pens, I was able to quickly create three more pages for the album I’m putting together to document the year and a half we spent living on a tiny island in the Caribbean ocean.

This two page spread documents the very first apartment we lived in on the island. Six people living in a two bedroom apartment was an adventure in and of itself! It was a tight squeeze, but we made some great memories in that little place!
We experienced our first hurricane only one week after arriving on the island!

One of the most amazing things we saw while living on Statia was these baby sea turtles hatching. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience!

You can see more pages from our island album here. Check out my quick tips for hand journaling on your project life pages….I’ve always been scared of using my own handwriting, but not anymore!

Maybe this is a stupid question, but just wondering how you size the pics to the right size when you are doing project life? DO you have to cut them?
