What a beautiful page! My daughter’s tooth fairy leaves golden coins under her pillow worth $1 each. She is always quick to spend her allowance but she can never bring herself to spend her tooth fairy money! Thanks for sharing!
Jessica Bauser says
Growing up my mother would have us a put our tooth in a empty medicine bottle next to our bed. Then when we woke up there would be about $2 in quarters. 😀
Kristina Proffitt says
Such a cute idea for a collection, friend and it’s SUPER cute! I always love what you create and your photographs, too! 🙂

What a great idea! My little one hasn’t lost any teeth yet, but when I was little I always received a glitter filled note and a couple silver dollars, some that I still have today! I can’t wait to continue the tradition and this will be the perfect way to document it.
CindyM says
We sprinkle the dollars with Fairy Dust (glitter) for our grandson.
Jaqui says
What a neat idea! 🙂 my mom would always have us put our tooth under the pillow and we would wake up with fairy dust around our bed leading to under our pillow with a glitter note and some sparkle coins. 🙂

Our son is 5 1/2 and our daughter is almost 4. They collided while running around a corner (one coming from our bedroom~ the other running down the hall into it). Anyway, our son’s tooth went into our daughter’s forehead. Kylie still has a tiny indent in her forehead from it, and when it happened, Austin was crying and had blood coming from his mouth but I couldn’t figure out from where (it was his lip). A little while later, we realized that his front tooth is sticking out, and that’s what it’s from! He started kindergarten this year, and his teachers and the kids think it’s loose~ it’s not! He looks very cute when he smiles and sometimes you only see that tooth, but Mommy is ready for it to get loose and fall out! We bought some very cute pillows from Etsy (his is Angry Birds!), and I’m hoping we can put it to use soon! 🙂
Wendy Namken says
I haven’t started a tradition with my 5 year old son yet. But when I grew up my mom would have us put our tooth under our pillow and the next day there would be some coins.

This is so fun to see—what a creative project!! We just now have two loose teeth—firsts! Thus, having this inspiration is wonderful! You are simply inspiring!!
Susan K says
What a cute set of cards you have created! Our kids have each made their own personalized little box for under their pillows. The tooth fairy then leaves all different kinds of coins in their boxes.

Hi! I love the idea. Sorry for my English. Here in Spain there is no tooth fairy, so there is the Ratoncito Pérez, but it’s the same. When the first tooth fell my daughter, she almost could not sleep because she was afraid of the Ratoncito. We put some coins under the pillow and in the morning she was very happy.

My little girl has a long time before she starts losing teeth. But I’m going to get this set. I really like the card you record the date each tooth is lost. Our toothfairy planning on going the gold dollar coin route.
heather jedlicka says
We started leaving golden dollar coins for my son. He loves to see who is on each coin in the morning.
Amelia Harris says
Our tooth fairy always brings $1 gold coin. My girls love it and look forward to it! 🙂 And rarely are willing to spend it. 🙂
Shawna @ MomsGonnaSnap says
As kids, we used to leave our teeth in a glass of water by our beds. I’m not sure what the water was for??
Our son had to have his first 2 teeth pulled (they grew in as shark teeth – a 2nd row of teeth behind the baby teeth), so the tooth fairy brought Susan B Anthony dollars for each tooth (our son’s name is Anthony) as well as a bonus $5 for having help at the dentist. Usually the tooth fairy brings “Anthony dollars” for Anthony 🙂
April says
Wow. Our tooth fairy just leaves a Susan B. Anthony coin under the pillow. No fairy dust left behind. Hmmm….maybe our fairy needs to step things up a bit!

We have a ‘price-line’ tooth fairy. My grandson names the amount of money he thinks the tooth fairy will bring him. Sometimes he names an amount ($ 1.50) or sometimes he names coins (3 quarters, 5 dimes, and 2 nickels). The amount is never over $2.00.

We have a little tooth box and it goes under their pillow that night ( well only my daughter my son hasnt lost any yet) and she writes the tooth fairy a note.. she gets 2 dollars… Simple but she loves it. One time she wrote ” I know my brother has not lost a tooth but can you please give him a dollar also?”!! Love that she looks out for him!
Lesley B says
When we were little it was just the tooth under the pillow and we got 25 cents. I hear the average cost of a tooth has gone up to over $3. I plan on my own tradition of making my son a cute monster tooth pillow I saw on pinterest but I still have a few years.
Amanda Clouse Photography says
My son has a tooth fairy door outside his bedroom door. The lost tooth is left at the door and the tooth fairy exchanges the tooth for 3 $1 bills, 1 to save, 1 to spend and 1 to donate. He uses the donation dollar for missions day at school. In fact, the tooth fairy is visiting us tonight as my son lost his 5th tooth which eating pizza for breakfast! 🙂
Lori A. Geise says
Our Tooth Fairy was very busy in June and July 2012. Between those two months last year my daughter lost five (5) teeth. The minute they were loose she would say the Tooth Fairy will be coming again and she would wiggle, wiggle, wiggle until the loose tooth came out.

These are great cards. With the three kids loosing teeth on what feels like on a weekly basis I could have fun with these. Our tooth fairy leaves a Susan B. Anthony “Golden” Dollar in the container that the kids leave the tooth. We also leave “fairy” dust sprinkled around.

We leave a “Golden” dollar (Susan B. Anthony) and Fairy dust.

I’m loving your loose tooth collections! My son has yet to loose a tooth but I made him a tooth pillow with a pocket to put his tooth in. I’m loving all the responses. Giving me great ideas for what traditions we can implement when the day comes, soon!!

This collection is soooo cute! I’ve been wanting some PL style cards 2 use 2 record my youngest son’s loss of teeth-LOL! He’s 5 & started school (K5) this year! I especially love the chart! And even though my oldest son has already lost 8 teeth, I’d love this 2 play catch up & to use for the rest of the teeth that he will lose:) Our tradition is 2 put the tooth in their Tooth Kritter pillow pocket & then the next morning, see what they got! Sometimes it’s money & sometimes it’s a small toy or gift:) Soooo fun & the Tooth Kritter i much easier than having 2 sneak & reach under their pillow-LOL:) Thanks so much 4 creating these & 4 the giveaway-I’d love 2 win either 1, b/c whichever 1 I don’t win, I’m buying the other, b/c I love the aqua colored cards in the girls edition!

I honestly don’t remember any Tooth Fairy traditions growing up other than money being found under our pillow. However, now a mom myself, I would like to do something fun for our 2 boys. Love this idea and the comments to gather ideas when its our time for the Tooth Fairy to come and visit!
Brittany Roscheck says
Love it! So stinkin’ cute! Can’t wait for my little ones to start losing teeth! : )
J.Hopkins says
As a child, I always left my tooth under my pillow for the tooth fairy to take and started my children in the same tradition. The tradition quickly changed to a tooth fairy pillow when those tiny teeth went missing but found at a later date … not good for the tooth fairy’s reputation.
Your loose tooth collection is perfect for documented such special memories! 🙂

My son has lost 5 teeth and has swallowed 3 of them! His first one was lost while eating a whole apple so we did not have a tooth to put under his pillow so he wrote a note, in it of course he felt the need to say what he wanted for the lost tooth, like he was writing to Santa….now every time he loses a tooth, even when we have the tooth, he writes a note and every time he asks for the same thing, a MatchBox car! Kids are too funny!
Nina D says
My kids are 4 and 2 so we don’t have any traditions yet! But I have a fairy door I’m going to get out soon and I can’t wait to have the tooth fairy visit through the door. Excited that there are some great Project Life coordinating cards out there to use when it comes to document my daughters first tooth!

My kids are 4 and 2 and so the tooth fairy hasn’t visited yet and we haven’t started any traditions. I have a fairy door I’m looking forward to getting out to the Tooth Fairy has someone to arrive in the house! Glad there are some cute Project Life tooth fairy goodies out there for when I need them!

Adorable…your daughter and this new collection! I especially love the the little tooth diagram. What a fun way to document each loss. We didn’t have any special traditions necessarily, but we did have a faithful toothfairy…she never missed a tooth. 🙂

Here in South Africa we have a tooth mouse (although some kids have a tooth fairy) – hence we leave a bit of cheese for the mouse in the shoe with the tooth

The tooth fairy comes into the house via a tooth fairy door. Then they get a dollar coin for each tooth. She also leaves a note each time reminding them to brush!

My boys have yet to start losing their teeth, but it will start happening soon since my oldest is now five! It will be so fun to start the tooth fairy tradition in our home!

What an ADORABLE set of prints for Project Life.
♥ it!!!
In our house, we have a tooth fairy doll (that my Mom made & I used when I was a little girl). We put our tooth in her pocket, and then in the morning the tooth is gone and there is money in there! 🙂 There’s a picture of my little girl w/ the fairy tooth doll at the bottom of this post:

So this is probably a silly question, but how do you fill out the chart? Do I fill it out from my perspective (looking at my child) or from his?
rebecca says
Not a silly question at all Vicki…I’m filling it out from the child’s perspective. The upper row in the chart is the child’s upper teeth, the lower row is the child’s lower teeth.
