I’ve had a couple of recent questions lately about what BW photoshop actions I like to use, so I thought it would be fun to do a comparison of a variety of different BW actions for you today.
Below you’ll find a selection of BW actions listed {some free, some not} that are available for PS/PSE as well as one edit using the new PicMonkey for those of you who don’t use an editing program. As you can see, there is a wide range of options available when it comes to BW editing.
I tend to gravitate towards a bright, crisp BW and my current favourite action to use is from MiaBella Boutique {the Lilly Set} but there are so many actions available out there! Which of the ones pictured below is your favourite?
I hope you’re all having a great week so far!

I love to use Pioneer Woman’s “Black and White Beauty”- it’s especially perfect for a light, sweet baby edit.
I don’t know which one I like best!! Thank you for sharing:)
Thank you so much for featuring my photo Rebecca!
And I love that gorgeous pic of yours. My favorite conversion is the second one bw2, but they all look lovely. I’m really loving black and whites these days. Thanks for the comparison and the tips on actions. Some of these are new to me.
Have a beautiful day!!
I think the miabella is my favorite as well. I like a sharp b&w image but not too dark. Most of my edits lean towards a vintage look though.
And such a cute little curl on the top of the babies head!
Thanks SOOO much for the feature!!! Also, I am loving your additional weekly photo tips 🙂
Thank you so much Rebecca for featuring my pic! 🙂 That totally made my day!!!
I liked the third one down:)
I like the first two bw options the best. Thanks for sharing.
Love that you featured some of my favorites that I saw while visiting around on Sunday. What a great bunch!
Thank you so much for featuring my photo!
