Simple as That

Making Everyday Beautiful

still happy….just a little tired

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Hello everyone!

I have to say I am so overwhelmed by all the congrats! Thank you so, SO much!! We are very excited to have baby number three on the way. I have very little faith in due dates (both Emily and Carson were overdue – Emily by 11 grooling days!) but my official due date is October 3. (I’ve decided on a due date of my very own – which will be October 15 so from now on I’m just going by that. Then overdue – will really be early to me! Right? Just need to trick myself here.)

Lot’s happening between now and October 15. Lots. (AHHHH!) But we can do this. We were hoping to be into our new house by the end of October so I think we’ll just take our time, stay settled here for a couple more months and then move in after the baby is a bit older. The ‘plan’ was to have a spring baby this year but as I should have known – things do not always go according to plan and that is ok! We are still excited no matter what. Emily is beyond thrilled! She just cannot wait to hold the baby. We took her and Carson with us to the ultrasound appointment which they found so fascinating and they have been parading those u/s pictures around to anyone who will look at them.

Carson has already taken on his role as big brother like a pro when yesterday he was having a particularly grumpy afternoon and I asked, “Who is being a grumpy boy?” and he pointed at my tummy and said “dat baby is!” Blaming it on the little brother/sister already. Oh dear. 🙂

So thank you again for all your sweet words – I hope I can get feeling back to ‘normal’ again soon. I was never sick when I was pregnant with the other two so I am such a wimp where this nausea is concerned. The only things I feel like eating are ripple chips, frosted flakes and zucchini(????) There is very little that sounds good to eat right now. I will be 13 weeks on wednesday so I hope (hope, hope) this will end soon.

So baby is on the way AND my book is on the way! To the printer that is. As of last week it was officially wrapped up and on it’s way. Next thing to look forward to is to holding it in my hands and flipping through actual pages. Hard to believe that what started last January during a conversation with Wendy Smedley as a mini album idea I had has grown to be this book. This book that has occupied so much of my time, my thoughts and my energy for the past (well since the summer) so almost 8 months now is soon going to be a reality. A real life book!

Real. Life. Scrapbooking.

That’s what it’s called. I really want to get an explanation of what it is about just right for you. It’s so hard to just sum it up when there’s so much in it and so much emotion behind it. So let me sleep on this one (sleep is one thing I can’t seem to get enough of right now) and I’ll share that with you tommorow along with the whole story of meeting Wendy at CHA last January and how the whole book came to be.

Wow, you have a lot going on as well as this little one to look forward to. Take things easy and look after yourself, your health and that of the baby is more important than rushing around. Hope you feel “normal” again soon.

I can’t wait to hear about your book and to actually see it….so exciting!
I was so so sick with both of my pregnancies, it was ridiculous. I totally understand how you’re feeling. I found that sleeping thru the nausea was sometimes the only way I could deal with it!
    Hope this passes soon!
