Alivia`s hair has just gotten long enough to wear in two little piggies and its the cutest thing EVER! She`s never had a haircut and I plan to put off cutting those sweet curls as long as I possibly can. ๐
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I mentioned last week that we`re coming up on one year of the simple things challenge and I can`t wait to celebrate with a fun little anniversary party!!!
To help make year two of the simple things challenge even better I`d love to get some feedback from you. ๐ If you have any thoughts or suggestions please shoot me an email or leave a comment on today’s post. I’d especially love your thoughts on the following….
-Are there any ways you think we can improve our
weekly simple things link up.
-Would you be interested in weekly simple things photo prompts?
-I`d love to put together some of your thoughts on what the Simple Things Challenge has meant to you and share them during our one year celebration. How has the simple things challenge become a part of your week?
-Do you have a favorite simple things photo that you`ve posted? I`d love to know which one! Send me a link and tell me why it`s your favorite photo and it could be featured during the simple things one year celebration.
-The Simple Things Challenge or Simple Things Sunday? I’ve been calling it both, is this confusing? Does it matter? Do you prefer one over the other?
If you have any other questions, thoughts, ideas regarding the simple things I’d love to hear from you!
Now….on to this weeks party!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
If you’re new here, you can find all the details about the simple things challenge here.
Come join in the fun! All you need to do is take a photo of a simple thing or a simple moment that made you smile during the week and come back here each Sunday to share it with us!
Just a few quick rules to play:
1. Grab the button below and include it in your simple things post.
2. Link back directly to your simple things post not your blog/website.
No links to other linky parties, giveaways or craft projects pretty please. This linky is all about the photos.
3. Be sure to pop by and visit at least 3 other links and leave a comment.
Everyone loves getting comments so leave as many as you can.
PS. I reversed the order of the links this week so everyone’s photo gets a chance to be first. If you don’t see your photo, check the top of the link list, you’ll find it there! ๐

All of your children are adoreable and these little pig tails are precious! I tried to link up, but am getting a message that there is a server problem. I’ll try back later.

Yes!!! Keep the curls as long as you can. She sure is the cutest thing!! My son had gorgeous curls and was the talk of the “town” because of them. After his first haircut they never came back ๐

I’m having trouble linking to my “Simple Things” photo…can you check the link?

I kind of like Simple Things Sunday best. I think it flows better than Simple Things Challenge.
I’d be open to prompts, but sometimes it’s nice to just let it happen and not feel pushed into a specific shot.
I participated in a Team Up Thursday back in the spring. It was great, had me picking up my camera at least a few times a week, but we took a break over the summer and my camera started to get dusty. Simple Things Sunday has encouraged me to take more pictures again, whether it be with my big camera or with my iPhone. I love that it encourages more natural shots and less ‘set up’ photography.
I think this is probably my fav Simple Things photo… http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-973BUd1drn4/TlmrK5sBQrI/AAAAAAAAFwQ/AZ7As4yclpc/s1600/IMG_2086.jpg

Hi Rebecca,
I have just recently started linking up with you and I love it! Any opportunity to be reminded how special the little things are is great.
I like the idea of having a photo prompt, that would be fun and something new.
I have included a link to my favorite photo that I shared for the simple things challenge:

I also love that this link up party is one Sunday. ๐
Take care!

The idea of photo prompts, etc. are wonderful and would be fun…but in the spirit of “Simple Things”…keep things simple! As simple as you want! We all love to play along regardless of what it’s called or if there are “rules” to play by. It’s SIMPLE and we love it ๐

Awww! I love her little pigtails.
Sarah says
Rebecca, her little pigtails are perfectly sweet! And I am always so inspired by the photos you take!
My little girl is 17 months and if I can ever get her to hold still for a few seconds I think I could get some pigtails in her hair, too!
I love how things are right now with the simple things! Thanks so much for all the time you put into it!!
Heather says

The Simple Things Challenge has really caused me to “stop in my tracks” and see the beauty in the every day. Life is so hectic, sometimes, and the serene, simple moments get drowned out in the clutter of living. But, in the end, it really is those sweet, simple moments that matter most. I absolutely LOVE the challenge, and being inspired by the simple things that others see in their day-to-day lives. It’s wonderful! I think one of my favorite “simple things” photos was one taken by my husband…just one of those “fleeting” moments that are over before they’ve begun, yet say so much. I stopped in my tracks when I went through our vacation photos and saw the moment between my daughter and me captured so perfectly. I can see so much in her face, in her eyes…It won’t be long until she isn’t a child anymore, looking up at me with wonder, excitement, joy, and love. It was one of those moments I’m glad we could push “pause” on and just capture so I can enjoy it over and over again! http://www.itworksforbobbi.com/2011/07/simple-things-sunday-errand-of-angels.html

My first time submitting a picture here and then I do it twice!! Sorry–the first time it had an error so I didn’t think it posted. I would delete one but you don’t have that part enabled. Hope you can stop by and say hi. ๐
