We like to go for walks after dinner sometimes, when the temperature cools down a little bit. One night last week we walked to Round Hill at the end of our road and climbed to the top. The view is so beautiful up there! Big sister Emily was helping me keep track of the little girls – there was a lot of casha {a species of Acacia} up there. The thorns that grow on those plants can be huge and hurt {a lot} if you get one in the foot! That sweet girl of mine is such a big helper, I don’t know what I’d do without her!

If you’d like to join us in the simple things challenge all you need to do is take a photo of a simple thing or a simple moment that made you smile during the week and come back here each Sunday to share it with us! You can find more details about the challenge here.
Just a few quick rules to play:
1. Grab the button below and include it in your simple things post.
2. Link back directly to your simple things post not your blog/website.
(No links to other linky parties, giveaways or craft projects pretty please. This linky is all about the photos.)
3. Be sure to pop by and visit at least 3 other links and leave a comment.
Everyone loves getting comments so leave as many as you can. 🙂
I can’t wait to see your photos & plan to showcase a handful of them in my simple things roundup which I’ll be doing on the the blog sometime this week….I need to play catch up from last week too! Sorry about that.
** for those of you who’ve been wondering, the photo frames I use for all my simple things photos
are by Katie Pertiet and can be found here.
PS. We’ve been busy stocking up on food & water due to a storm that might hit here sometime within the next 48 hours. Looks like there’s a 100% chance of it forming a tropical cyclone at this point. It shouldn’t be too bad, but just in case, we want to be ready. I’m working on scheduling a couple of blog posts for next week, but if the storm hits power will likely be out so I might be scarce. We were out of power for three days last August when hurricane Earl hit….here’s hoping that won’t be the case. We’ll know more this afternoon.

This is an honest story:
I saw your blog and being an amateur who’s obsessed with photography, I got inspired to do a link up party for photos. I had never seen one before, only for craft projects and outfits. Then I scrolled down and saw “The Simple Things” I scratched my post, and instead will be participating! So glad I found you, and glad you’re spreading the photo inspiration movement! 🙂

I’ve been reading backwards through your blog and you’re inspiring me to take more pictures!!!
I’ve been using Creative Memories Memory Manager to edit and organize my photos. I love the organization, and the editing is pretty good, too, but I’m thinking of going to photoshop so I can use all the “actions.” Is that what you use, or is there something else you’d recommend for an amateur photog? Thanks!
