This sweet girl has been waking up every morning for the past two weeks asking us if it was the day for her preschool graduation and.this week the day finally came and went. It was so cute! A really long program, in a really hot community center, but it was still cute. 😉 School here is definately different than we’re used to {in a lot of ways} and children enter full day kindergarten at 4 years old. We decided to give preschool a couple days a week a try and Addie’s loved going, but we’ve decided not to send her to kindergarten just yet. She can finish out at her preschool until January at which point we’ll be heading home in only 3-4 short months. She’s made some cute little friends at preschool and we’ve loved her sweet teacher which will make it sad to say good-bye when the time comes. We love you Addie girl – you’re getting SO big and we are the luckiest to have such a spunky, smart, beautiful girl in our family!

Thank you SO much to everyone who linked up last week! The turn out was amazing and I’ve enjoyed going through your beautiful photos SO much! 🙂 🙂
If you’d like to join us in the simple things challenge do it! It’s so fun!! 🙂 All you need to do is take a photo of a simple thing or a simple moment that made you smile during the week and come back here each Sunday to share it with us! You can find more details about the challenge here.
Just a few quick rules to play:
1. Grab the button below and include it in your simple things post.
2. Link back directly to your simple things post not your blog/website.
(No links to other linky parties, giveaways or craft projects pretty please. This linky is all about the photos.)
3. Be sure to pop by and visit a few of the other blogs & leave a comment.
Everyone loves getting comments so leave as many as you can.
I can’t wait to see your photos & look forward to showcasing a handful of them in my simple things roundup on the simple as that facebook page throughout the week!
🙂

Congrats Addie! I attended a similar graduation that was outdoors in the heat. But, it’s all worth it for the kids!

We had the same dilemma. Full-time school in China starts around 3 years old. I just couldn’t do that yet, so we searched until we found something that was at least flexible and only did 3 full-days a week until our son was ready for Kindergarten last Fall. Even that ended up being a much longer day than we were used to. It is interesting the way school is done in different parts of the world, isn’t it?

Thank you for hosting.
I have a page on my site that lists more than 300 hops, memes, and photo challenges… some for each day of the week. Yours is listed there, too! Check under the header for the link to that page. I’ve also started a BlogFrog community that focuses on hops, carnivals, memes, and photo challenges. Go to http://theblogfrog.com/1504201 to visit & participate.

I still remember my preschool graduation…it is such a fun thing for kids! Happy to hear that preschool has been a good experience. You are wise to hold her for full day K. We did for my son who is a summer birthday and it was the best decision. We have had a rough time transitioning to school here on our island, but look forward to trying homeschool in September for a few months before we go home!
