the inside of this little album that I created for the May/June issue of Simple Scrapbooks.
I gave it to my mom for Mother’s Day yesterday and it was the such a perfect little gift. Really simple to put together.
I used a little 4 X 4 mini album from Making Memories and the little pockets and such were so fun to fill with little things. I tucked a couple little notes inside, a gift certificate for a massage, and the funnest thing was this little quiz I gave to Emily. I asked her the following questions, and handwrote all her responses on some notebook paper and tucked it inside a pocket. (see picture below)
QUIZ:
Q: Emily, why do you love Grandma?
A: Because she has toys for me. And she has tandies (candies) at her work that I can eat.
Q: What is your favorite thing about going to Grandma’s house?
A: Going for a ride in the car to Grandma’s house (hmmmm?! Who would’ve thought. She usually asks us about every five minutes the whole drive there if we’re almost there yet.) And watching some of her cartoons she has for me.
Q: What do you like to do with Grandma?
A: Play on the swings.
Q: What do you think Grandma would like for Mother’s Day?
A: She likes books. Kids books.
Q: What’s the funniest thing Grandma has ever done?
A: Making a funny face….like this (as she shows me said face) 🙂
Q: What is Grandma’s favorite song?
A: Ring around the rosie.
Q: What do you want to say to Grandma on Mother’s Day?
A: SURPRISE! Happy Birthday!!
That’s about as creative as I got with the questions, I’m sure someone else could come up with a lot better ones than mine. But Emily and I had fun doing it together. And her candid responses to the questions…adorable!
Supplies:
-making memories mini album
-this cute stamp set by EK success.
–American Crafts paper, ribbon, pigment pro markers
The little flowers that I have decorating the front of the album were another easy thing to make. Here’s a little step-by-step look at how to make those if you’re interested.
So there you have it. A cute little Mother’s Day gift. Simple. Easy to put together. I am pretty sure I can see myself making another one in the future – maybe for Father’s day? Only, minus the flowers of course.
🙂
Happy Monday all!
