The snow we’ve got around here is definately a really mean trick I think! Although I shouldn’t have been surprised by this little dumping of the white stuff we got on Sunday. Never fails. It seems like every year right before halloween we get snow. Not much fun taking those little kiddos out in the cold. But you couldn’t convince Emily of that! She is ready to go right now!
Well, I was not about to let a little snow ruin all my fun!! Oh no! I was so smart and got the kids dressed up last friday for a little test run in their costumes and we went and did photos.
And here is my halloween treat this year…
It took A LOT of convincing to get Carson to put that lion hood on so it makes me appreciate that photo even more!
So they will be off trick or treating tonight with daddy – all bundled up in their winter coats and snow boots. I plan to be at home, staying warm while handing out candy.
To answer a couple of questions – the frames I got for my family photos down there were from IKEA. They had them in black too and if I’m remembering right they were only about $12.00(canadian) each. So a great deal.
For those of you who have asked about my black and white conversions, I’ve shared a link to these actions before, but they’re so great! I’m a firm believer in keeping things simple and so I’ve been using this warm and black action a lot lately for my black and whites. I’ve used it on most of my recent black and whites in fact and I love it. With the click of a button and sometimes a few minor adjustments I’m done, with beautiful results!
Hope you all enjoy a happy and safe halloween!
