Watermelon Lime Berry Smoothie – Frozen watermelon, strawberries, fresh lime & coconut water make this the perfect refreshing drink for summer!
Hello everyone! I was so excited to be invited to guest post here on Simple As That! I’m Adell and I blog over at Baked in Arizona. I am an Arizona native, married to my sweetheart & we have 3 kids who bring me so much joy. We recently remodeled our kitchen in a home we just bought and it’s been kind of a saga but it’s done and I’m pretty happy to be back in the kitchen again. On bakedinaz.com I share lots of yummy desserts (my favorite thing to make) but I also enjoy healthier recipes too! I hope you will stop by, take a look around and hopefully find something that you want to try.
I’ve got a perfect summertime recipe for you today. It’s well over 100 degrees where I live in Arizona so we really enjoyed this homemade slush/smoothie. I couldn’t decide to call this a slush or a smoothie. Either way it is the perfect summer drink! We picked up a watermelon at the local farmers market and after we ate a bunch of it, I froze the rest of the chunks to use in smoothies. Best part is you don’t need to add in ice cubes when you freeze the watermelon. Yum!
- 2 cups frozen watermelon chunks
- 5 fresh strawberries, stems removed
- juice from 1 lime
- ¾ cup coconut water*
- 1 Tablespoon sweetener, optional
- Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and blend till smooth. Add more liquid if needed.
